Just wondering what music you guys listen to. Personally I'm a big Nu-metal fan (any of you guys around there?), its just the kind of music that makes your adrenaline levels soar if you listen to it while racing or whatever, plus I play guitar too, so I appericiate it on a different level. I mostly listen to chimera, deftones, 36 crazyfists, Ill nino, 40 below summer, slipknot, hatebreed, and a bunch of other bands you've never heard of. I'm also partial to J-pop (Ayumi Hamasaki is going to be my wife! Why're you laughing..............?). What about you guys?

Audioslave is the fricken bomb. Finally, some Rage-esque music to give me my fix. They're really great - the band from Rage w/ Chris Cornell from Soundgarden, the fricken' ROCK.

Nas, Busta, Wu-Tang, Dilated Peoples, Nelly, Ludacris, Cam'Rom, Dre

Audioslave, Nickelback, Saliva, RATM, Limp Bizkit, Sum 41, Unwritten Law, Incubus, Filter (god I love Filter), Linkin Park, Zebrahead (my alltime favorite), Stone Sour

Crystal Method, DJ Trace, DJ Liquid, Paul Oakenfold, Fatboy Slim

I'm wierd, I like lots of stuff.

:)

Nick.

C'mon man, sum 41's not a punk band. Those guys, blink 182, newfound glory and all that stuff should be labeled crap. Punk was a movement that focused on being against the system, bands like the clash, misfits, the ramones are what punk is all about. Not to be an ***, just pisses me off when people get genres confused. BTW limp bizkit sucks so much co.ck I can't even begin to say how much I hate them.

I call that brand of punk hard core punk because its just sounds so awfull...Rancid i like however. I agree with you on newfound glory and 182. Iv been to some sum41 concerts though, and sorry to tell you they are punk :)and for ME not to be an *** but they are listed under punk in music directorys

I enjoy the musical offerings of such popular bands as the Backstreet Boys (and Justin's solo efforts are SO tremendous!), Sara McLachlan, Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliot (naughty!), Julio Iglasias (you're MY hero!) and I used to like N'Sync, but they're SO played out now.

The greates band on earth..."THE MOTHERF**KIN TIME" (insert Jay's voice)

No really though, its all about the deadliest metal you can find, you know the stuff that scares old people if its bumpin next to them at the stop light (i.e. Shai Hulud, Dillinger Escape Plan, One King Down, ect.). Oh yeah rap too, hip hop (i.e. Roots, Jurassic 5, Dilated Peoples, Alkaholiks, Tribe, ect.) moreso than "gangsta rap"

NOT! If I liked any of these people I'd have to blow my own brains out. The reigning kings of heavy metal are still Pantera, my favorite band. I saw them with White Zombie Summer of '96 at Deer Creek and it was incredible. Anyone under 200lbs was annihilated in the pit.

I like Stone Sour, but have only heard the one radio release. How is the rest of this album?

I hate Pop-Punk, hate it with a passion.

Do you know that the guitarist in NFG used to be the singer of Shai Hulud? Download some MP3s and you'll have no comprehension as to how differen the music is.

Did you also know that Further Seems Forever is a majority of a band called Strongarm? Also completely different styles.

I basically only like FSF, every other band you wrote up there, blows. I like Catch 22 when I was in like grade 9, now I just want to shoot myself for ever having listened to them.

No offense to you or anything, I just dislike those bands.

I listen to everything from Massive Attack and Tricky to Move. Sorry, no "Mall Punk" for me. I don't even know who System of a down or Sum41 are! I think that most of that "Korn copy" music is all the same. That's cool if you can get into it but it's not for me. I also like some older breakbeat too (2 bad mice, baby anne, Sasha and Jon Digweed). And (of course) the occasional Eurobeat.

haha, yeah I get that from all my friends that listen to hardcore/ect. I live in a predominatly black area, so growing up all I got was rap (Onyx in the 5th grade was the s*it). I get to highschool and am exposed to the whole punk/hardcore scene.

You'd be suprised almost all of the hardest stuff I listen to has absolutly nothing to do with killing people or hatred. There are many different topics dealt with, and it is just a manner of expression (screaming, hard music)

I would consider all the hip hop stuff more rap then rap, Old School rap dealt more with social and personal problems, as opposed to dealing with coke, guns and cars. There is a severe lack of originality in rap right now. There are some extremely talented rappers that are just wasting away talking about girls and liqour. With that in mind I still have a ton of "rap" CDs.

You were in the 5th grade when Onyx was popular? Holy s*** I'm old...

If you guys want to talk old school, how about Public Enemy? ChuckD and crew were awesome. So was Ice T back in the "New Jack City" days.
