hard to find SOM thopunk rock!!!
for me it is all about real punk like dead kennedys ,bad religion,regan youth, fear, teh casualties, anti-falg, the distillers(brody is hot), and to all you f***ers that listen to trance, you are all idiots that crap will rot your brain out. its all the same beats over and over again with different effects and crap. listen to some real music. oh yeah i also like blues cause thats where everything started from anyway.

Just so you guys get a taste...I missed a show tonight that I really wanted to go to...Dillinger Escape Plan, the most insane metal/harcore you will ever hear. Guitar riffs that your ears can't even keep up with, drumming that can simply be called insane, and the nuttiest show that any band can put on. The guitarist go so nuts swinging their guitars they don't even realize when they hit people, some kid at the show tonight had his nose broke. They broke string because they were playing so hard. The singer straight up dropped his pants and took a sh*t on stage. The drummer at the end of his set threw his entire drum setup into the crowd/all over the stage....NUTS. Technically however, the best band ever. also gangstar, blackstar ,tribe called quest, wu tang, methodman, medafore from philly, Mood from cincy, universial dialect from dayton dead prez an some other hip hop, blackstar even though i dont like much mosdef anymore to pop oriented now, roots, common, Black eyed peas

i like a lot of undergroud rap, people like - Aesop Rock, Sage Francis, Slug, Del, also gotta respect Jurassic 5, Busta, Big tymers, etc etc.
then you HAVE to respect the old school - if you ride in my car u need to listen to 80s/90's music old school rap the whole nine. just look out your window and sing it "look at all these boomers"

Ok.. not to rip on anyones taste ( to each his/her own) but....You can not possibly rip on trance if you profess to love punk. I dont love trance either but it is so incredibly much better than punk. I'm surrounded by punk cause I love to skate and nearly all of it is pre-pubesent sounding boys with no musical talent and the most anoying voices in the world talking about how the govenment sucks or how they are drunk, masturbating or high...Granted some of the beats are good to skate to cause they get you pumped, but Whenever they sing I turn it off. You see I like bands with real talent, bands that wont just fade away when the horny teens that listen to it finally grow up. My brother was a music major in college and they watched videos on Metallica's composing and music. My mom went back to school for fun (?) and in the third year she's been there she is learning Metallica songs in her "classical" guitar class. Besides, What other band gets to play with the San Fran Orchestra?

This kid I know can actually play three complete songs on the drums, watching him I was like WTF?? It was simply amazing, this kid is a drummer savant.
Punk is far better than trance, there is good punk, its just few and far between. Strike Anywhere, some Pennywise. There isn't much punk I like, but at least most of the bands can play 5 chords...unlike trance which has the same beat for years on end. Going to the local tuner shop is pure torture, nothing but trance.
Metallica was amazing...up until the Black Album, then they just f**ked up royally, its a shame, they used to be good.
Pink Floyd, Rage Against the Machine, Outkast, Rolling Stones, Slipknot, Mudvanye, Faith no More, CKY, Metallica, Wu-Tang, Nirvana, Bob Marley, Tool and Marvin Gaye.
Outkast is amazing. If all you have heard is their new stuff your missing out. Their old stuff like SouthernPlayalisticCadillacMusac is amazing.

most punk rock groups dont Fade out they arent a fasion trend most of the bands i listed have been around longer then any person one the top 100 with the few exceptions Punk isnt all by pre pubesent teens my fav punk rockers are prob older then you by half your age!, the only pre pubesent punk is pop punk and the ****y drunk/skater punks that blow up an burn out once they have their four or five singles.. then they grow up an melow out an maybe become good punk but most just fade ou

Damn skippity. Aesop owned my CD player for 6 months straight. Got 4.5 of his albums. Def Jux rolls a lot of skill.....Cannibal Ox can be mindblowing. Beatnutz, Mindclouders (saw 2mex in concert with medusa, was fookin insane. so "relaxed" and still freestyled for 10 min), eyedea, swollen members. Damn there's so much good hip hop out there it's hard to fit anything else in. and the roots new stuff is smoove too.
