For example, your first post goes cafe, fighter, fighter, bobber, naked.

While Buell? You've got bikes the the M2, a naked/standard, to the Ulysses, an adventure touring bike. You talking about the XB9R/XB12R? XB9SX/12S? The 1125R?ScorchedNX2K wrote:What do the Buell bikes fall under? I really like them.

Those are called streetfighters.
That is true, but they do all run togetherUrabus GodofTraction wrote:The Monster is not a streetfighter.PoorManQ45 wrote:Didn't read anything but first post.

Nor is the bobber that was thrown into the first post.
Fine line between a naked and a streetfighter (well, from the factory anyway), but a streetfighter and a bobber? No way.PoorManQ45 wrote:

Can be done. Looks like rank a**.PoorManQ45 wrote:I believe the separation between the bobber and streetfighter comes mostly from the update in designs. You've got much different frame geometry, cowlings, tank design, and headlight design.
I have seen a few streetfighters that had the front fender removed and the tail chopped. Personally this makes not sense as you're removing protection, but it has been done.
So, I guess this draws the questions. Can a current sport bike be turned into a bobber, or will it still be referred to as a streetfighter?
