Welcome to the Murano Forum! The staff here at NICOclub welcomes you!

Did you make the purchase? At some point it does come down to supply and demand, so not everyone will be able to get some of the deals that others across the country have gotten. Do your best, and enjoy the new ride!

Hello folks, Just moved over from the G35coupe group. My long story short is that I owned a 2006 G35 coupe until today, when I picked up my Murano SL. Truth be told, the engine in the G35 wasn't that great (I hated the loss of power above 6K rpm), the shifter was a little clunky, and I never fully got used to the clutch. I have been driving manuals since 1990, and this car just never grew on me like I was hoping it would.... So I went searching for something else. But with two kids and a dog, I needed something that would hold them all. HOwever, this is my commuter car first, and I will be in it alone for 95% of the time. The infiniti EX was too small for me, and the FX was too expensive. Then I test drove the murano and immediately knew it was exactly what I wanted.... THe seats are actually better than in my G35, and the accelleration was more pleasing (even though it is 1.5 seconds slower to 60, in my opinion, it feels faster than the G). The interior is MUCH nicer than the G was, and the seating position is so much more comfortable. I was very surprised how nice it is. Having just driven the EX and FX, the murano certainly is on par with them.

Plus, I was able to get the exact color (Merlot) with every bell and whistle for a great price. Nav, Tech, Leather, Premium, Moonroof....all for $31700. I lost a couple of grand on my trade, but I save $1200 in taxes I would have paid had I not traded it in.

Anyway, I absolutely love the car. Transmission is a dream, and handling is superb given that now I ride as high as all the full size SUVs that used to almost squish me in the G.

Glad to have you over here in the Murano Forum! I love the Merlot color, that is one of my personal favorites. And the seats are another thing I love in the Murano, not to mention the oodles of space! Enjoy the new Murano!

I am in NJ planning to close on Murano this week. I have been quoted 33800 + TTL for an LE with an MSRP of 38070. Looking at some of the posts it seems that I could get an LE with NAV for this price (msrp 40.5k). Any experiences at a NJ dealer where I can get a good deal.

I am in the process of purchasing a fully loaded 2009 Murano LE.It is to include all options and accessories for the Murano including the Nav system and Moon Roof. The MSRP quoted was $41,790.00. After negotiation, the dealer gave me a price of $35,400.00. I am getting a $6,500.00 trade in allowance for a 2003 Altima SE edition. I am also putting $9,500.00 cash down. Payment terms negotiated are 2.9% for 60 months which leaves a monthly payment of $355.00 per month. This is the fifth new Nissan I purchased from this dealer so I did have significant leverage. Last July I purchased a new 2008 Armada LE fully loaded and paid cash for it. So when I walked in the door the sales manager new exactly who I was. I simply said to him this was our first stop looking for a new car for my wife and he had to make me a deal I couldn't walk away from. In all it took about 5 hours of negotiation to reach this agreement. It appears now they are unable to locate what we want and are looking into ordering one from the factory. My wife and I reallylove Nissan vehicles. In the past we have also had a 2005 Pathfinder LE and a 2003 Exterra.

PS: It is now June 1st at 5pm. I just received a call from the dealer that I negotiated this deal with. He informed me that if he doesn't locate a vehicle for me by 9pm tonight the deal is off and I should go somewhere else. I have purchased 4 Nissans from this dealer over the last 8 years. I have never heard of anyone being treated like this.

Cheers from NICOclub! Welcome to the Murano Forum!

Wow, that sucks the dealer told you that, I would certainly take my business elsewhere if they don't come up with your vehicle. I own an '08 Armada and we owned an '09 Murano for many months, we sold it because my wife missed having a fast car (she came out of a G35), of course now we have a 3.5 Altima. Let us know if the dealer comes through for you on their deal. GOOD LUCK!

Last night at 8:30 the owner of that dealership call me to tell me the deal was off and he would refund my deposit. However, while this was going on I also sent an email to Nissan North America and told them what was going on. They had me contact another dealer in this area. We just came back from there. The sales manager at this dealership agreed to honor the agreement we made with the other dealership and find us the Morano we want. He appears to be working closely with Nissan North America to locate a Morano in the U.S. and have it shipped here at no additional cost to me. I just couldn't see why I should be punished for agreeing to wait for the one we want. The other dealer want us to pay an additional $2K.

My wife's 2000 Lexus RX 300 got backed into in a parking lot and it was going to be $2,000 to repair. She wanted to drive the Lexus another two years but figured it was a good opportunity to get something new.

She liked the Murano and the only other car we test drove was the Toyota Venza which neither of us liked very much at all (and looked like it was going to be more expensive with the options that we wanted).

The car we wanted:

2009 Nissan Murano SL 2WD (black exterior/beige interior)MSRP - $35,925.00Online Price - ~$31,200 + taxes/fees (I think)Specs - Splash guards, moonroof, premium package, technology package, and leather package.Our price - $30,500 out-the-door

We bought the car in Statesville, NC. This was our first car purchase as a couple, and the first time I've ever been involved in a new car purchase at a dealership. It did take us visiting six dealerships in the area and getting pricing from another six, but I think the overall experience was a good one.

I live in Edmonton, Alberta. After a year of comprehensive research, we bought an '09 Murano LE in March 2009. The only thing we wanted as options were the all-season floor mats. We looked around for a post-purchase complete protection package (Scotchguard, 3M paint protection, etc), and the dealer was able to offer everything we wanted for less than the top shops in Edmonton.

MSRP (All CDN Dollars): Base: $47498Paint (Glacier Pearl): $300Mats: $124PDI: $1500Protection Pkg: $600Total: $50022

When all was said and done, we paid right around $44750 plus 5% GST - we wrote a cheque (figuratively speaking) for $47000 CDN all in. In essence we received a $5500 CDN discount.

Right now the latest information I have from my source for invoice pricing is that Nissan Canada is offering a $1500 rebate to dealer, and also a $4000 non-stackable (I assume this means it can't be used with any other offer) factory rebate to dealer. Both expire 30-June-2009. I'm guessing that means that a consumer could walk in and get at least a $4000 discount without even negotiating...could be a really good deal if you're prepared to grind the salesman a bit.

Our dealer was Mills Nissan, one of three in the Edmonton area. The internet sales guy at West End Nissan tried to bend me over a fence, and if I ever have to deal with Ericksen Nissan/Infiniti again it will be too soon.

Adding my 2 cents here:09 LE AWD, every option except Aero (has towing can't get aero), installed DVD (have dual sunroof can't have DVD) and the cross bars for the roof rack. Bought used with only 8K miles. $26,500. Thinking we did OK, it is used but is immaculate and had a few accessories installed such as vent visors, hood bug deflector and some chrome dress up. Deep sapphire with beige leather.

I think you could probably get off another $1000-$2000 off that deal. Try and work them a bit, contact another dealer as well. Good luck, let us know how things turn out!

Thanks, Timmbo -

I e-mailed about 15 dealerships in the region and came up with the lowest price of $31,783 for SL AWD 360 package.I've been working with a dealer in my city that has said he would beat my best offer by $500. So my price would be $31,283. How does that sound?

Now we're just looking for the right color combination - they seem to be fairly rare, so I might be waiting for a while!

Does anyone know how the dealer-to-dealer trade works? Thanks!

I just purchased my Murano today!!! I know that I purchased it at the wrong time; I wish I would have done this back in March, but it just didn't happen that way.I have had a heck of a time getting a good deal on anything. I used the shot-gun approach and e-mailed 20 dealers in my region. The best I got was $32,886 - no one would budge. Then I got the unfortunate news that NOT ONE Murano existed in this half of the country with the exact colors and specs that I wanted. I did my own homework, and found a typo in the Nissan Inventory system. The reason it wasn't coming up was because Nissan said it was 2WD. It was AWD, but it took me noticing the discrepency between cars.com, nissausa.com, and the dealer's website. I called, and low-and-behold, my car was out there! My husband took today off so we could drive down and get it. I paid more than I wanted, but I know how in-demand that color was. No dealership would give it up in a trade, so I had to do the footwork myself. It was totally worth it, and I couldn't be more pleased that I found my baby!I don't have the paperwork in front of me, but I think this will be close.

Murano SL AWD with 360 package (premium, leather, everything but navi)Merlot with beige interior (everything else was charcoal, but I wanted beige!)MSRP $36,375Internet Price $31,783 (included rebate of $1500)Final Price of $33,283I did not take the rebate as it was more advantageous to take the 2.9%APR. Kind of wish I would have paid cash - would have saved me almost $4000! But I want my money in the bank! So, I know many of you got better deals, but I needed a car now and no one was really willing to haggle because of the Murano shortage. Timing is everything! But I still love my girl!!!!

Don't sweat it, you got a great deal! Merlot is a sweet color!!!! Nice work finding the mistake in Nissan's inventory system. That is a pretty crazy story. The 360 package is a pretty hot option right now. Amazing finance deal as well.

ENJOY YOUR NEW MURANO!!!!

Looking at leasing a 2009 SL AWD here in NJ.

These numbers are ballparked by me, not the dealer. They haven't given me any numbers yet.

Options:J02 (360 degree pkg, must include X01/K01)X01 (Leather)K01 (Premium)

Lease Term - 39 monthsMileage - 15000/yrAgreed upon value - $32,000 (this should include Destination, dealer fees, registration, -$500 factory incentive, etc)Down - $1,000Money Factor - .00270 (best guess)Residual - 53% (I think this is accurate on a 39 month/15K mile lease)NJ Tax Rate 7%

Lease Rate - $535/mo (if I calculated correctly)

According to Nissan Financing, I'm Tier 0(excellent credit), and I'm a returning NMAC customer. Should I be able to get a better money factor or any other type of reduction?

Does this sound reasonable? Are my numbers close? Anyone have a breakout like this to compare to?

I would really check around with a few dealers. I am not sure where that rate stands. Totally get some more quotes from other area dealers. Good luck!!!
