Hello Z owners,
have any Z owners out there messed with the remote system? It receives a signal from your key fob/remote via an antenna on the hatch glass, it translates it and then the box sends a signal to the interior locks, blinkers, hatch alarm...etc. The box is located close to the ECU, under the passenger foot board.
I am wondering if it is possible to use an arduino or some thing comprable to redesign the system, for example making it work like a modern security system where you carry a key FOB and unlocks rather than using the old clunky key fob that breaks.

The link is a screen shot of the circuitry of the remote box from the manual. My apologies if the link doesn't work.
