Please provide details as I am inclined to call :bs: .

My EX250 can average 55~60mpg. This is with a 15 tooth front front to lower the RPMs ~800 in 6th gear.

I calculate mine with every fill up. To me it's as important as checking the oil or air in the tires. I also seafoam all my vehicles about every 6 months. I seafoam it pretty much how Greg describes in his write up except I have never stopped it and let it sit with seafoam in the system. I'm excited to try it though. Just bought 4 cans. On base it's 6.50. Lol

Yes, everyone does do it wrong...

You can not get an accurate measurement on a per tank basis.

An average needs to be taken over multiple tanks to get an accurate measurement

89 Hardbody NAPZ 2.4 21/24 Auto with ac doing same drive as above. :gapteeth:

Try again, foo.
Pointies are easily in the 50s, higher for a slower speed commute.

So yeah, my SV650 gets 50-60.
The Subaru averages about 22mpg
The LAND CRUSHER turns dead T-Rexes into heat and noise to the tune of 10mpg.

Commuting to my old job, a 62mile round trip consisting of 97% interstate highway (actually a real number, not made up...3 miles out of 62 is 3%) My LS (5AT, 3.9l V8) averaged 24mpg.

Commuting to my new job, a 20 mile, mountainous round trip that's 50% state highway (55mph with stoplights) and 50% 50mph surface streets (more stoplights) my fuel economy has PLUMMETED to 18.5mpg.
I suspect that, were I able to use cruise control, I could improve that by a mile or two. But thanks to my addle-minded fellow drivers, cruise control is not an option. It's amazing how terrible people are at carrying a consistent speed. It should be a federal crime to build a highway with less than 3 lanes for each direction.

That is more believable.

He said 60+ before. I can barely do that on the 250 if I accelerate at a normal pace and obey speed limits.

My I30 gets 19-21mpg around town but usually gets 28-30 on the highway. It's been a great highway car even though we hardly ever take it on trips.

I think aside from my wifes '07 Chevy Aveo(which only get slightly better) we had when we got married, that the I30 gets the best fuel mileage out of anything i've owned.

You're doing good, my old 720 4x4 only got 8-9mpg city and you didn't even think about the highway with it. You were lucky if it would get past 45mph... :ohno:

Of course I didn't expect much from a $300 truck other than being able to take it through the woods and not care what happens to it.

My riding is hardly normal acceleration, and when I do act normal (my commute), my drive distance is sub 5 miles, so my numbers are going to be low. People commuting on SVs on routes that don't see over 60 or much stop and go report 60+. Don't compare your carb'd 250 to a modern, low-stressed fuelie like the SV650.

Plus your huge head adds a bunch of wind resistance.

I guess. I usually rev the hell out of the 250 too... So my numbers might be relatively low too. Changed the sprocket to lower RPMs. EPA claimed mileage was like 65~70mpg...
