I thought I'd start a thread for people to talk about good gas mileage.
I'll start, my 5 spd honda with the little 1.7 four banger gets 32-34 city and 38-40 highway.

My old z got 27

My 240 when tuned with SAFC for fuel mileage has gotten 34 average.

On factory tune I get 27 usually. 30 if I'm really careful about my driving habits.

worst I get is 22 pushing hard when the SAFC was tuned for max power.

I did get 14 when I had a bad MAF though lol.

Holy crap, I don't believe that a 7.3 injector is more expensive than a 6.0 injector. I paid $235(regular price is $290) for a 6.0 injector from the dealership.

It seems like the newer 240's get better gas mileage but I've never heard of a S13 getting anything decent maybe because of their condition?

My old single slammer S13 got 20mpg in town.

My current BMW 540i/6speed gets about 15 in town, I drive it like it should be driven. :)

My dd, a Volvo 850 T-5 with 200K consistently gets 24mpg, all city.

'92 Honda Civic
Best - 45mpg highway
Average - 30mpg combined

'90 S13
CA18DET, Silvia conversion, mostly stripped interior (had dash, center console, and 2 seats), FMIC, 3" turbo back, CAI, and tuned the SDS EM4-F for good mileage
34mpg
I honestly think I could do better now if I still had the car and it still ran on gasoline.
Never managed better than 22mpg on the E85, but I never tried to tune it to do better either. I will once I get done putting the motor in the S14.

I got 36mpg once recently on my s13 with a stock s14 sr20de on pure highway driving (almost a full tank strait through in one go without stopping), 87 octane. Full interior and equipment except AC compressor. Absolute worst milage has been 27mpg and average is usually 31-32.

I see about 27 average in my EP3...I don't baby the car either, but when cruising I tend to do it in the highest gear possible.

Explorer
21mpg best. (years ago, nearly all highway, and with smaller tires)
16-17mpg per tank (mixed driving)
13-14mpg is the worst. (winter driving including warmups)

Altima
25-26mpg per tank mixed. (that's if I drove the whole tank because my wife never clears the tripometer)

R1
Around 50mpg with stock needles and exhaust
Around 45mpg with Ivans needles and Arata full exhaust

600rr
I don't remember the exact mpg, I just remember it being worse than my R1. Doesn't help driving around at 6k rpms.

S2000
23-25mpg per tank consistantly. City or highway.
21mpg was the worst ever. Filled it up in Oct or Nov. parked it all winter, starting it up every 2 weeks and letting it run 10-15min. Refilled again in May,

2000 chevy suburban 1500 4x4 with 22s always average 11-12 mixed driving but I romp on it. Got a new chip that's supposed to increase that but I romp on it more with the extra power.

1997 240sx auto I always average 22-24 mixed driving but have seen it up to 26 with all highway.
