Not that I'm a huge fan of rotary engines... but what the hell do you suggest he would have swapped it with? There ain't much else out there that would make it a cost-effective swap. The money involved with jerry-rigging any other superior engine in there would sort of defeat the purpose... when you could just build the hell out of an already great engine.

the best is the scene in the beginning where brian's racing his car for top speed, if you listen for his lame distinctive shift noise, you will notice he shifts 7 times...

I was watching it yesterday, I have the DVD(I know, I know). I heard the seven speed myself, where can I get one of those? I love the way the charger blows a rod and goes another 1/8 of a mile under power. I can forgive the glaring errors as typical Hollywood not reseaching the subject but I really think if there were more race scenes even the cheesy speeded up 2 mile ones they seem to favor it would have been more fun. I mean if I want a lame plot and goofy music I watch porno!:jump

I think they added those mistakes on purpose for whatever reason. No one is that stupid,i mean i don't have a 7 speed myself, but i seriously doubt that a car can actually reach 7th gear in a 1/4 mile race, especially tuned cars that go way beyond redline. All those mistakes were fun to find out when watching it with friends, gives us something to talk about. We all still loved the movie though.

How about how they made the RX7 sound like a V-8. That was great.

well if the spy shots of the cars for F&F 2 are any indication it will be more of the same. I mean a pink car, who would paint a car pink?!;)

there is supposed to be a chick in the pink S2000, mmmm, tasty. My wife hates that powderpuff crap, she detests the assumption that girls want pink cars with more looks than performance and can't drive. I asked her once if she wanted one of those "Girliegirlracing" shirts, she said "I'm a racer, not a girliegirl". I took that to mean no. Some guy at her work freaked out when he saw her 180SX was a manual. She got pissed off and asked him if he wanted to bring his Silvia out so she could show him what was up, he declined.:D

even though the subject has kinda changed, and im just now readin this post this is what i think....FNF might have been inacurate and had alot of bad acting you have to admit it was somewhat entertaining , i mean thats the point in making the movie anyways right to entertain people, not to inform everyone as to what is going on in the street racing world..

oh and i thought ' freddy got fingered' was good to, it was stupid but it was funny as hell

FNF was directed at teenagers. Is there anyone here over the age of, say 21, that thought F&F was a great movie? Probably not very many. The FNFenough(F&F2) trailer looked ever more lame than the first one, but then I'm not a teenager.

The only good thing about that movie is going to a movie parking lot and watching people make fools of themselves :)

not that i am a fan of the f&f but

one mistake i did notice on the webpage that listed the errors of the movie was

where it says that one error in the movie was that after races they wouldn't turn off their cars because they have turbos and the oil would get stuck in the turbo

after spending 20 g's on a car they would probably pay the extra $150 and get a turbo timer
