Stick with the simple mods like CAI, header, exhaust etc...
I think it has more to do with the fact that they like the Versa, they just want a different power plant to satisfy their needs.

Don't really like or dislike the Versa hatchback's styling...neutral on it...there are a few little details I dislike, though (like the mirrors being on pillars instead of flush to the body). But the new Sentra...I hate every single thing about it. EVERYTHING. Inside and out. All of it is wrong. Not just horrid or bad or ugly...it's outright WRONG. I'd drive a Versa over a Sentra any day.

Even if I didn't absolutely hate the Sentra's styling, though, any car with the shifter up on the dash gets an automatic write-off from me. Clearly designers don't drive their creations anymore or moronic crap like that would never even make it onto paper, let alone a full production car.

wait. wait. i heard that the sentra and versa and engines are almost exactly the same?? if so, couldnt you take the SE-R turbo engine and put it in the versa??

sorry, but im one of those guys who love to work on cars, no matter the cost. customization is my life! doesnt matter about fuel milage or convenience, just the fact that im making something that nobody else has... i like to be original!

you could put the 2.0L Sentra engine into the versa with no problems since the 1.8 and 2.0 uses the same block. but as for the 2.5L might be more of a squeeze with the limited under hood space.

..............the mr20de my guess is built in the same engine factory in mexico as the mr18de is. that engine has around 150 horses with more torque.........enough said if you turn a bolt in your engine compartment kiss your 60000 powertrain warranty goodbye......now if you keep it after say 5-6 years, you could probably spend the extra 3-4 grand that you have saved up and swap out the engine. or put that turbo in for a couple grand i'm assuming that's the price.....either way if you have the extra 4-5 grand to upgrade to this next level then i am with mhv and all the rest wondering why anyone would go through that trouble when you could have found a good used g for that same price.............madness is a communicable disease i fear.........

I think a 2.5 would be a good choice for a swap (if it would fit) for a nice daily driver.

Madness is a communicable disease indeed. I saw this on a local board today. Anything is possible concerning engine swaps.
