So NISMO engine mounts are the only CA specific mounts on the market. This is widely understood by all.

Here is my confusion (and I am trying to contact a Australian or UK Nissan dealer for some info)

CA18DET OEM Engine Mount Part Numbers
Source - http://www.nissan4u.com
RH Engine mount - 11210-35F11 (#9)
LH Engine mount - 11220-35F11 (#16)

KA24E OEM Engine Mount Part Numbers
Source - http://www.nissanpartszone.com
RH Engine Mount - 11210-40F00
LH Engine Mount - 11220-40F00

http://www.nissanpartszone.com/Page_Pro ... entsNo=112
^^for the above link, you do have to put it some info to look up the mount numbers to verify.

The CA18DET part numbers crossover to the KA24E part numbers
RH Engine Mount - http://www.nissanpartszone.com/parts/ni ... 35f11.html
LH Engine Mount - http://www.nissanpartszone.com/parts/ni ... 35f11.html

In my eyes, this would mean the mounts for the KA24E (atleast) are the very same as on the CA18. Like I said, I'm trying to get in touch with some dealers overseas and see what I can find out because this is really kind of racking my brain. I have gone through almost every post I could find on KA mounts not working on the CA and that the SR and KA mounts are the same. I'm starting to think that somewhere down the line, a lot of companies found you could use SR mounts on a KA and have them work to no ill effect and starting listing KA and SR mounts as one of the same. As you can see, NISMO does not actually have a KA mount listed: (http://www.nismo.co.jp/en/products/comp ... mounts.pdf).

I know this has been talked about over and over again, but the information just isn't adding up for me..(BTW google search of KA24DE shows they do have a slight "lean" to them similar to the CA18)

Comments, flaming, etc. all appreciated guys. Thanks

So are you just trying to come up with NON-NISMO motor mounts? And if so, why? the stock mounts are terrible about tearing. I've had the NISMO's on the CA for well over 40K miles and they still look great.

Regardless, I'm going to drop this little mind bomb on you;
http://www.nissanusa.com/nismo-web/Nism ... g-2012.pdf page 41, near the bottom of the page.
part number...year.qty.....description
11220-RS540 89-94 1 NISMO engine insulator mount - LH engine
11210-RS540 89-94 1 NISMO engine insulator mount - RH engine
11320-RS541 89-94 1 NISMO engine insulator mount - Transmission

So Nissan says that all year KA's, regardless of it being a KA24DE or KA24E, use the same motor mounts. I use http://www.partsbase.org/, but it's similar to nissan4u. It also says that both the KADE and KAE use the same motor mount.

I would guess that nissanpartszone is wrong (or maybe just Nissan in general) and the supercedes is a mistake?

I can tell your, for a fact, with out any doubt whatsoever, that if you use KA NISMO mounts on a CA, the engine sits screwy. I was one of the first people to get the correct CA specific mounts WAAAYYY back in the day when all of that was being figured out. I can also tell you that the KADE and KAE mounts are DEFINITELY the same, because I sold those NISMO KADE mounts to a guy with a KAE and his engine sit perfectly with them.

I think I used my KA24E mounts when I swapped the CA in. I don't really remember.

I e-mailed my local dealer and this is what I found:

11210-35F11 - Good Part Number in US but not available anymore; does not supersede
11220-35F11 - Good Part Number. Supersedes to 11220-40F00. Still available in the US

Still wanting to get in touch with a UK or Australian dealer soon to see what they bring up as a part number. My main reason for doing this is to find a replacement with an OEM part, even though I'm sure stock is probably running out...

I can guarantee that the stock KA24E mounts will bolt up - but your engine will be at a funny angle and STBs may or may not clear the engine.

I had stock KA24E mounts originally, before getting the NISMO ones...

Well I just installed my NISMO CA18DET mounts on the engine (engine is currently on a stand). Before doing so I did measure the thickness of both mounts and they are both right around 67 or 69mm (can't remember which..) Parts numbers on the mounts match that of Part numbers for OEM CA18DET in partsbase.org as well. In case anyone finds this info useful in the future.

More info in this post regarding sizes confirming the difference in KA/SR mounts and CA mounts, at least for NISMO mounts.

When I built my CA S13 many moons ago, I bought CUSCO motor mounts. They are a polyurethane mount so they are stiffer than an OEM unit, but are cheaper than a NISMO mount. I never really noticed any excessive vibration but I did notice a very quick response in throttle due to the engine not torquing over. When I build my next S13, I will use the CUSCO mounts again.

These are NISMO mounts for the CA18DET specifically. Both roughly the same size in height.

If those are ca mounts and are same size left and right, why is it that the ka/sr mounts make everything sit wonky when they are they are also the same size left and right(according to that link few post back)? I'm going to have to measure my mounts(ka) later tonight if I remember to.

I didn't have time today to measure the KA/SR mounts I have in my other S13 in the driveway. Should have time tomorrow to do it though. Here are the measurements from my stock CA mounts that came with my engine. The passenger side mount was broke so there is a little difference in the two mounts, but it's minimal at best.
