I think the whole "sell out" thing is a pretty silly concept. All of these guys, Jesse James, the Teutels, etc. make bikes that only the very wealthy can afford. How is making bikes for rich businessmen, athletes and actors *not* selling out?

Jesse James is out to make as much $$$ as he can while he's still popular. Makes more sense to me than some vague concept of "selling out".

As for the Honey Bee, it certainly wasn't the most challening of builds, but I do agree that the end result was funny. I would also keep in mind that the content of the show isn't entirely up to Jesse James. The producers have a big hand in what we see, not to mention the folks who edit the footage.

the guy makes bank. He didnt care about spending 30ish grand on a new car that would drive 4 blocks and get torn apart; because hed make more than that from that one episode.

Plus, he likes honeybees. How can he not be cool?
I absolutly agree. I don't think Jesse is a sell out...he simply wants to make money and have fun at the same time. Honestly, who wouldn't want his job? It is an absolute dream job. Building insane vehicles and getting loads of money to do it. Back when he was on a budget, it was cool because it was more like something most people can appreciate. But if you had the money JJ and Monster Garage both have, you wouldn't care. Jesse isn't doing the show anymore to please viewers, he's doing it to make things that *he* thinks is sick. He could care less what you think about him.

he turned into too much of a diva. When people say bad things instead of hitting them he whines about it and calls meetings to make them feel guilty and then everyone apologizes and has a group hug. Monster garage turned into a less of a junkyard wars style, fabrication and innovation battle, into more of a cash lubed circle jerk with expensive parts and lots of mail order.
