Thanks everyone. Depending on how many hits the pics are taking, they may be inaccessible; sorry. In response to the intercooler question ... yes, it does fit (with modification albeit). The front upper crossframe braces must be repositioned to the rear-side of the crossframe. Other than that, the bumper needs not be touched. But when you're planning on 22+lbs boost, it's nice to have already thought out the cooling issues too.

All piping and manifold has been ceramic coated (no, that's not chrome ... God forbid!), silver on cool side; high-temp black on hot.

PS - Let me put it too you this way ... Most of the system I bought off my friend whose 240 has been greatly feared around here for quite some time now. This set-up has already been in-car dyno-tested at 500+hp, 490+ftlbs torque ... on stock bottom internals!! NOT that I'm going to run for long on them, but that's planned too ;) Car ran a best of 11.20@121mph at Moroso, spinning through 3rd.

Not pictured are GReddy e-manage, LS rear-end, 300Z fuel pump, Aeromotive FPR, JWT upgrade package ECU, JWT cams, JWT cam sprockets ... Oh, and you haven't seen the head yet ... hehehe.

I'll fix the pics and let you know.

Man, you guys are funny :) Hey ... I had a Mongoose, 100% chromoly and all with the spider-web alloy wheels!! It was my first serious bike ... until I got the then $600 Redline MX-II for BMXing; God I miss that! We're talking 1979 here people! No kidding ... HA! Damn, I think I just aged myself. And the other one ... Milk?? DOUBLE HA!!

Anyway, all kidding aside, yes it's a 10lb Safecraft Halon fire "system". The extinguishing jets are located under the hood on the fuel side; the pull-pin is located where the lighter used to be in the dash (see pics). I'm big time into safety, and I've seen big-money cars burn to the ground before. Besides, all the Honda boys think I'm the bomb around here, what with their puny little pillar mount chromed manual pee bottles (J/K). I actually had one guy think I was hiding nitrous!! The gauges and fire system where left over from my race car.

Backyard Productions can build the manifold for you. It's equal length chromoly and beautifully constructed/welded. I'll get some better pics tomorrow. Check out the gold 240 on their web-site. That is Conroy, my friend. He has recently gone with the 6-cyl Skyline engine; so I bought him the engine in trade for the KA system. The current KA system looks a little different now though.

What are the specs on the turbo you're running? Did your friend run 22+ Lbs. on the stock internals?

Oh, other goodies worth mentioning and not fully visible in the photos ...

Tein fully adjustable coilovers and camber plates; Whiteline bushings alround; B&M short shifter; JUN chromoly flywheel; ClutchMasters stage III; APEXi GT spec 95mm SS catback (sweeeet); 17x8/17x10 OZ wheels w/Yokohamas; Painted rocker panels body color and stone gaurded (stupid ugly black had to go!); Viper 790xv alarm w/remote start; Alpine/Phoenix Gold/PolkMomo/Rockford Fosgate/Infiniti stereo components (blah-blah); Import Intelligence Sonic Blue needle kit (holy crap this kit is cool ... GET ONE).

Future plans are for well, number one getting this thing together, Pauter rods, JE pistons, Katzkin leather upgrade, quite possibly adding my RaceLogic traction control (lots involved in that one though), my Simpson 5-point safety harness(es) from previous car, 6-point roll cage and whatever other suspension/traction upgrades I consider important. I'm not into body kits and wings, (sorry Honda noyz-n-squirls) so pretty much it's as you see it now.

Anyway, havin' fun people ... believe me I'll keep you updated.:ylsuper

#1 Stunna, I'll have to get the turbo specs for you later as it is custom ... and yes the boost was 22lbs on stock bottom, it may have been higher. I obviously don't recommend it, but someone's gotta push the boundries! I will not be boosting higher than 14lbs until bottom is figured out. Hint ... did you happen to notice I did not buy the block from him? ;)

i like the three gauge panel below the cd player.are these 52mm (2 1/16") guages?what modifications where made to fit those guages in that panel. I heard 52mm guages will not fit correctly there.Did u trim away and is the panel plastic or painted metal?

how the hell you get 22lbs of boost with stock internal? water injection ? 1000cc injectors ?

Klattr1: Yes, they are 52mm gauges. I used a plastic filler piece (like those used for custom stereo installs), doubled the piece by epoxying together, cut to appropriate size, epoxied into place and drilled the holes ... it's a very tight fit, but if done correctly it can be done (obviously). No modifications were made to the stock bezel.

Gyfer: 22lbs can be attained easily with the correct turbo build. However, with regard to your question of using the stock internals ... believe me, the bottom didn't last long, and yes it is a very high risk. Conroy has been one to test the limits; eventually threw a rod right through the block. Hell, somebody's gotta do it! :) Now, just imagine what can be attained with upgraded rods, lower compression forged pistons, crank and block work!

Took some pics of the manifold and turbo today for those who were interested ...

Turbo is GReddy T-60-1 with Mitsubishi back housing (high-temp ceramic coated).

u better cut between the runners on flange (where they bolt up to the head), otherwise it'll warp and crack. Homework is only complete when u've read Corky :)

But, why mess with a proven set-up? This manifold has been proven with no issues, and consistantly ran well over 400hp on a daily driver, pushing to 500hp on occasion. I knew that one pic of the flange throat might raise some opinions, but remember the manifold has held up fine with no signs of fatigue or stress. I added the high-temp ceramic coating to improve upon it and keep the heat down. Granted, you or I may have designed it differently, but I think it will be fine :)

Thesil: OZ Racing makes the wheels, or at least did. They are not on their web site anymore. I bought them from a friend of mine ... look in the picture below at the green 240 in back; that's Rick, the friend I bought them from when they were on his car. They are 17x8 front, 17x10 rear. Thanks for your compliment! I get a lot of that on the street. It's all in prep for traction ;)

Smurf6x6: Thanks man!

Sil80drifter: Damn ... I just now re-read your post and realized I wasn't thinking this morning! Now, I realize you were talking about the head mounting flange, not the turbo mounting flange, (DUH ... stupid me; I need stronger coffee; nothing makes sense that early to me!). Yes, I am splicing the flange between the runners (3 areas) to prevent warping as I've done with past cars.

Hmmm...that champaign car looks like one of the BYP cars. Anyway, like all BYP cars, I am seriously skeptical about the numbers they claim as there hasn't been a dyno chart to back it up. Any dyno charts from the car you ganked this turbo setup off of? 500hp on stock internals? Eh...I'd LOVE to see those fireworks.

My ex-business partner is Garry from Speed Injected. Garry is also part owner of Wrightouch Racing well known for their record(s) in NIRA, IDRC and NDRA with their Pro-FWD Mitsubishi Eclipse. Wrightouch had the dyno (now Garry's at SI) that Conroy's car was tuned on.

I used to own CNNP Racing with another partner prior to Speed Injected. We raced the only 1st gen Pro-Stock Dodge Neon in NIRA and IDRC, 2000-2001. I know how to build engines; I know how to tune them. CNNP is now under different ownership and the car stayed with the driver, Scott Mohler who is sponsored by Phat Rides (the previously green Hot Rod turbo Neon picked up by Mopar). Scott and I had a nasty falling out along with my other ex-business partner prior to myself setting up Speed Injected with Garry. I just got sick of the "business", and sold my part to Garry. Now, I just want to have a fast car to have fun with, not work. I am in the electrical field now and loving it.

Anyway, enough with the credentials :) Yes, the gold 240 in that picture is Conroy's, a close friend of mine. I am not affiliated with BYP, however if I can get the dyno sheets off the computer from Garry I'll post them. I was there when the car was tuned ... I've also witnessed Conroy smokin' modded twin turbo Supras, supercharged Mustangs and even bikes. The stock bottom did not last long before a rod went through the block. As I've said before, someone eventually and willingly pushes the limits so the rest of us can learn.

The head (now mine) is currently at the machine shop being looked at to determine if it is salvagable due to the piston smacking up on two valves and locking the rocker bucket in tight.

You have a right to be skeptical whereas you don't know me; however, those who do know me are aware I am not one to lie and I do not exaggerate.:icesangel Sorry about the wordiness, but I felt this info necessary to share.

Well, you may be speaking with all sincerity but the only proven and documented reference to a 450+ hp 240sx was Chris May's built by Sunbelt. His was completely built from the inside out. You also can't claim that Sunbelt has a bad name either.

Still, with the thousands of dollars he spent on parts and tuning, he still managed to blow his engine up and only topped out at a wee over 450 at the wheels.

So when you come in here and tell me you've seen guys get 500 hp at the wheels with stock internals, the only thing I can say is that I'll believe it when I see it. So far NOBODY has been able to put up.
