Alright, I'd like to clear this up before getting out of hand. I stated that Conroy's car ran 500hp on "occasion" which wasn't for very long. The car did run 400hp daily driven, but how many of us consistantly nail it to the floor through every gear every single second of every day we drive? Wear and tear takes it's toll we all know it's all a matter of time when your weakest link proves fatal.
Hell, I drive like grandma until there is a very worthy opponent. Conroy's car blew the engine on the dyno while making that same 500hp. I never did state that I would be the 500+ King of 240ville just because I have his set-up ... I'm not crazy. I have stated that the turbo kit I have now came from a car that produced 500hp on the dyno with stock internals ... I know it, I saw it, and it did not last ... I'm not arguing that.
Until my engine is well thought-out, blueprinted, balanced, built, tuned, broken-in and proven, I will not over-estimate nor exaggerate my HP/TQ. Right now, when the turbo goes in, I will not push over 12lbs on my stock internals ... I'm not that daring. Might not even see 10lbs
You also don't have to spend big money to get good results. It defenitely helps, but I know plenty of Micky-Moused cars in this town that simply clean up every time they go to the track. Some of the same also rebuild or swap engines like it's a fashion trend too. Usually these are the guys that have shops or spare parts bins. I've also seen barn-pieced cars run in NIRA that blew doors off of big time money and sponsored cars.
In Conroy's defense, he is not one to hit the Internet. Just because he doesn't come here and squawk of his dyno run or is ET's doesn't mean it never happened. Let's put it like this; I know plenty of guitarists that would kick Eddy Van Halen's *** when it comes to riffs ... but due to documented evidence of Eddy's ability, does that alone make him the best guitarist there is? Sorry Eddy, respectfully ... but I think not.
When you say "you'll believe it when you see it" and that "so far, NOBODY has been able to put up", I get the impression that you are going to have to be physically present when any car runs a low time or puts up big HP on the dyno. Chances are slim. Dyno sheets are easily faked on the Internet as with most anything else. I don't always believe them. Magazines can be wrong too because they usually take their figures from other sources like the vehicle manufacturer or owner. Video of a track run is a pretty sure fire sign of believing unless it's manipulated well. It's either that or being there, for me. In my past ventures, plenty of drivers and teams talk a lot of BS ... it's reality where it's all proven.
I am not at all trying to come across as argumentative or defensive so don't get the wrong impression. We all have a right to believe what we want or simply ignore it all together, so I take no offense here.
Again, sorry for the wordiness ... it's my day off and I'm bored

PS - What does "ganked" mean?
Also, to "I am Technoman" ... did you mean to say N02??
