Alright, alright ... enough suckin' up!

I wish I had taken some pics during my build process of the gauge panel; you're not the first to ask. If I get some time later this week I'll take it out and snap some pics of the back side.

Anyhow, the basics are this:

- I used a plastic panel you can get from mostly any top-end auto stereo installation shops as the base.

- I then cut two pieces (one larger (the backing) than the other, making sure first that the smaller piece was cut in the exact shape of the OEM panel opening) and epoxied them together for rigidity.

- I then used a hole-saw for the gauge openings, being sure to test fit the gauges for stereo clearance.

- I removed the OEM pocket and cut some of the backing to the OEM panel.

- Then I expoxied the gauge plate to the OEM panel using the backing plate as the adhesive area (ie: place a dime on top of a penny and put the glue only around the exposed surface of the penny).

- You should also note that I do have an aftermarket head unit AND that I did not use the trim ring.

Hope that helps for now!

Thanks. Actually the inserts are part of the Classic Soft Trim Leather kit for the B15 as well as the back seats (I just didn't get the front seats for obvious reasons). The thing that sucked is the CF looking leather costs more cause it is some specialty thing and my rear seats plus inserts cost me more than getting the whole normal kit cause apprantely the company doesn't like piecing out stuff  Oh well I am happy with it though :)

I hate it when companies pull that "special order" bs just to charge extra, when the reason people want to just buy part of something to save money in the first place.

ya there is tape or screws or something you are supposed to hold it down but I just used the strap around the lid because I didn't want to mess up my glove box lid.

Being that I don't smoke and don't let anyone smoke in my cars, I wasnt too concerned with the ashtray. Oddly enough, I have now somehow accumulated 3 of them lol.

I have to throw my rice factor in now, cause let's face it, interior mods start heading that direction. I have my blangin NISMO knob:

Anyway, I got a question for you guys:Does your foot slide up your clutch pedal a lot? I have this problem constantly and it's driving me insane. Does anyone have any suggestions on grippy pedals?

Race Pedals/Pedal covers. They are blingy and actually have functionality. They can be strapped + adhesived on or screwed into the pedal.

I have the Type R pedals right now (on a 240sx, cuz it's funny). Those run for about $10-$30 on ebay. They also sell the very good Razo, Greddy, etc. kind all around. Those run from $50-$70.

I bought them for looks, but when I started using it, the pedal sticks to ur shoes!!! Very good feel. Must be that little indented and reverse indented part on the pedal.

Alright ladies and gents, it's time to help a brother out:The clutch pedal slippage is annoying me to no end, but the question is how bling is bling?

(all pedals are Ractive, not my first choice, but they're decently priced and have a few good styles)

1: ^bling bling^

2: ^bling^

3: ^blang^

Note: The car's interior is gray, exterior is black.

how bout reverse modified interior? it's getto tyte yo!

haha, i'm j/k, i stripped my car so i could put in a black interior, which I just finished about 4 hours ago. Would take a pic of it, but it's still a little "undone" and it's dark and i'm tired.

this is what it looked like before:

red/black rubber mats, red/black seat covers, type r pedal covers, type r suicide knob (barely visible in 2nd pic), aftermarket automatic shifter knob, dashmat velour cover (like the corvette symbol? - it's there cuz that's my nickname okkkk?), getto black/red pimp dice; I had a custom rear deck, but forgot to take pix.

I went from modified to stock.

The before pic, partially disassembled. First owner applied a yellow/orange wood kit.

After. More subdued, less annoying, and goes better with the gold clock. Acquired from a wrecked 94.

That yellow is pretty ugly. I do like that clock though.

I hate fake wood kits, though I don't like wood trim much period but that is once clean and elegant interior Jesda.

BrokeAs, I know what you mean about being tired after interior work. I spent until 1:30am wed. night/thurs morning taking kick panels and door stuff off so I could get a new ecu in my car and then trying to button everything up with a flashlight and a work light that kept blowing bulbs(150w 3 way bulb, bad idea). How did those floor mats work?I was thinking about that kind as a cheap replacement for my OEM mats. The OEM are getting pretty worn and I would like to take them out and save them before they get too bad(ok I am a pack rat, I have an entire spare interior in storage "just in case").

I luv these "cheapo" rubber mats. I like them a lot better than the oem ones in function and form. It does grip to you a lot better, especially during rainy days, u can just rub your shoes on that. Also, they are much easier to clean.

They also bring a nice "accent" to the rest of my interior, since I'm doing a black/red conversion for the inside, which is almost done.

One bit of advice tho, they work fine if you just plop them in, but they will start to slide up a ways. They still work fine, but look less good. What I did was do a velcro thingy on the back, which worked "okay." I'm going to actually punch a hole in the bottom middle (like the oems) and attach it to the mat clip.

You can get these mats @ kragen, pep boys, or some other auto parts store. However, you probably won't be able to find the red one I have there :), I've only seend blue, yellow, red, and gray. The red ones are only in a few places and I got mine online.

There are also many styles, depending on your tastes.

You can always go crazy mad blinger and get the aluminum/diamond plate floor mats that look like you drive a ups truck or something haaha.

I think I will be getting those then. I will probably be getting the same style you have from online or JC Whitney, since I have the matching seat covers w/ the same logo. I don't think they make the seat covers anymore, I can't find them anywhere. My parents got me mine for x-mas a year ago, two days before I totalled my first 240(never even got to put them in).

I will post a pic of the cupholder when I can find it, I might look tomorrow if I can remember so if I find it I will try to post it. Here is a pic of some stuff I bought off of ebay, after seeing brokeAs's interior......Thats in the seller's car. I really shouldn't have bought the stuff yet, but they were on e-bay and I couldn't beat the prices. He even gave me free shipping on the pedal pads. I really should have used the money for something more important but o well too late now they're on the way, I am sure I will like them so its all good I guess.
