That is a pretty interesting post, and you totally made my point for me about the American "make war" mentality, "shoot first and discover later what a jackass you've been and how wrong you were". I've always been proud of the fact that Canada has minimal armed forces, and yeah the jokes about our "one canoe for a navy et.." are funny, but also something I'm proud of. We know what's important, and war is not one of them but rather one of the big problems with the world, particularly when a huge leader such as the US supports this approach. Think of all the good the US could have done with the billions-per-day wasted in Iraq. Hopefully one day things will change, and the US will use its perceived position of leadership to work on improving the state of the world.
And I doubt the those politics dweebs could scare me, I'm a hockey player and am definately not sensitive or uneducated when it comes to politics.
