I don't know. Sometimes they have mercy on us and broadcast UFC's on the AFN (the Armed Forces Network), but usually I have to beg a friend to send me a tape/DVD of them. (- Do I have any friends here? hehehe... )Otherwise, I have to wait for them to play on come out on retail DVD.

See the sacrifices we military members make for you civilian-types?

Took a solid Thai clench knee to the top inside of the eyebrow. Then that was followed by a few really hard punches, to the same spot. Fell on my back, and with head on the mat, he came in with a solid punch to the same spot, then an elbow or 2 there also. Queer that was reffing was WAY LATE. Split the skin at the inside of my eye right at the top of my nose, fractured my eye socket, broke my nose. Honestly, it scared me, a lot. That's why I pussed out and quit. Embarrassing also, since it happened at my own gym.

Meh. There's always UFC on Demand, also. Unfortunately, it's like $2 per fight. One way or another, I'll see all the UFC's events - even if not until next March when I get back stateside.

They both still work. Didn't lose anything other than some pride. LOL. I just have a small scar from the split. Really, it was probably for the better that I quit.

Damn. Got all happy, but then I clicked on it, and the stupid MWR (Morale Welfare, & Recreation for all you civilians) computer won't open that page. Thanks for trying. I guess I'll just have to start with UFC On Demand on the website when I get back in port.

Bravo does indeed rock...10th planet has it's perks...but BJJ wise...how can you not love BJ Penn and Big Nog?

of course...nogueira and bj penn are great, no doubt. bj is great! he got his black belt in only like 3 or 4 years of training. but, bj penns rubber guard isnt mastered yet. bj penn is no doubt one of the best though. i cant wait to watch bj own jens pulver! its gonna be ridiculous.

Has anyone here ever actually seen Bravo in competition of any sort? I have his book (JiuJitsu Unleashed) right tnext to my book by Renzo & Royler Gracie and I like Bravo's BOOK a lot better for actual fighting, but I've seen the Gracie's FIGHT and kick a$$... Kind of ironic, huh? Don't get me wrong, I'd learn from Bravo, but I'd love to see what happens if he started getting elbowed in the face while trying to hold the rubber guard on someone like Matt Hughes.

well...it done well, the beauty of the rubber guard is that it keeps the opponent pinned down and unable to throw real hard shots.

but yeah...I don't know how well Bravo would do under the heat. I like Unleashed though..I've got a copy of it somewhere as well. The rubbergaurd sets up for a lot more variety in sweeps too.

Renzo is the best Gracie in MMA hands down.

the coolest one too...I hope he gets a rematch with Frank Shamrock after Baroni makes him his *****.

Yeah, I know that's the purpose of it, but what I'm wondering is if he could make it work against someone with the farmboy/monster/retard strength of Hughes... Just idle thoughts...

Just shank a Corporal in the shower and take his chevrons from his rack.... That's how I'm planning to get E7.

What did you think of that Lightweight fight yesterday? Guida/Griffin. That was the $h!t.

Yeah, and of course, I'm going to miss that one, because I'm going back to the desert this week. Yesterday wasn't too shabby, but 73 is definitely going to be better and 74 is looking like it won't be too bad either.

You gotta check out that LW fight from yesterday, though - action packed, and very technical on the ground.

It was decent... Okami is a pretty good fighter, and he was just coming off wins over Mike Swick and Kaleb Starnes, but he just wasn't quite at Franklin's level. I don't see anything that indicates the Franklin is ready to try Silva again, though...
