I'm right there with ya Rick. I would love to swap in an auto with a 2500-3000 stall or so. Get working, that way I can just copy...lol.

though auto would be better for drag, I intend on turning with my car as well. I am keeping my t04e that I have been running so I can swap between the two turbos depending on what I am doing at the time. My next project will be auto though, of course its also going to be domestic, have twice as many cylinders and be boosted as well . the 240 should tide me over for quite a while though.

After using an engine hoist to hold the turbo in place, we made this fixture to hold the turbo in in its final position and then used the fixture to make a jig for building the header.

We still need to figure out WG routing and then it will be fully welded.

hey ivan, ive noticed you tend to lean towards the bottom mount manifolds. is there a reason or is it just because u have to fit the larger turbo sizes?

Bottom mounts are the way to go for a left side exhaust. Less bends to make the header, scroll of the turbo matches the header in that direction. They look DEAD SEXY too. What better way to show off your beautiful header.

CBR 600 F4i coil packs. Same as what AEM runs in the NSX powered Civic. Firing off of MSD DIS4 plus triggered by the AEM EMS. I had to mod the valve cover slightly to keep the coil packs from spinning and the packs down tight on the spark plugs.

With the AEM EMS its easy... or so I think. I dont think you could do it with a stock or modded ECU

What I am wondering (since I have no experience with coil packs) is how does the aem know what crank position to fire the packs at? Do you use a CAS or a magnetic pickup such as with the tech units or what? Please do tell, I may go with coil packs myself. Those look like they fit very nicely too.

AEM reads cam and crank from the base of the stock distributor. No need to run the rotor, internal coil, or cap. I have an S13 distributor on the motor in the pictures. I believe that an SR CAS cover will bolt right on keeping things covered and low profile. I am using four of the coil outputs on the AEM trigger the inputs on the MSD DIS4 plus. Then the four coil outputs on the DIS4 fire the coils.
