I wish I had pictures of any of the trucks my farmer, engineer, geologist, miner, contractor, and other hard working friends own (i.e. every truck owner I actually personally know). Some are very new, some are old, none are very pretty. They work those trucks do on a daily basis without breaking a sweat would destroy a Ute. They're covered and saturated in mud, coal dust, manure, salt, dirt, you name it. A trip through the car wash just shines up the crust lining the fenderwells. The beds are dinged, scratched, and dented. They tow multi-ton boats, work equipment, tractors, other trucks, drill rigs, dirt, coal, trailers full of everything imaginable and more...all on the highway or as far from anything resembling a road as you can imagine. And this isn't some special case. These aren't exceptions or rarities. This is EVERY DAY stuff.
THAT is a "typical truck owner" as I see it. Granted, I don't know any bros (by deliberate choice) and I only know a few soccermoms. But I still can't think of anyone I personally know who owns a truck that just uses it as a Camry with an open trunk. Sure, they might haul the family to walmart on occasion. But that's between trips to stockpiles and drill sites.
