powered by max has what they call a high mount intercooler setup. It appears to be made for stock or stockish sr20s. Their forum has a thread about the r&d of the part.

If you end up getting that kit make sure you put a review up on Nico. I've heard many different things about mid-mount setups, but I think I want to use the PBM kit on my KA-T.

I don't see why a T25 or a T28 would change your intercooler setup? I went from a T25 on a stock mani, to a GT3071 on a Tomei mani, and I'm still running the same intercooler setup on the hotside.. I just had to use a different coupler.

Just keep in mind the powered by max kit requires some modification to the radiator support and removal of the headlight motors ( just noticed an s14 as your avatar, so ignore the headlight motors :bigthumb: )

Post pics in a thread on here (not 240gen damn it) when finished. Then as you upgrade (you WILL upgrade), you can add to the thread with every update you do.

the turbo matter because the t28 turbo out let is at an angle while the t25 is straight up.

So you use an angled coupler... ;) My T25 had an angled piece on it, by the way.

Okay been a while but I deffinitely recommend the pbm high mount, fits perfect, have to cut a little of the radiator support and move the wiring around a little but it looks awesome, the intercooler is a lot bigger than the hks fmic that came with my clip lol. As far as bov support I got a greddy type rz and the flange I got is perfect length to go on between the curves on the cold pipe. As soon as my camera is fixed (gear oil) I'll post some pics up in a build thread

I'm going to assume piping, given there are 2 different ones for T25 and T28.

Ya it came with piping, I'm still trying to fix my damn camera lol. Intercooler is about twice as thick as the hks fmic my clip came with, 4-5" taller, and 1-2" sshorter from side to side.

That is pretty spiffy. Wonder how much power you can run through that thing.

Not sure. Its a little small for my taste. It would be good for someone running a small turbo, though. Seems very ideal for the 300 and below club.

What do you guys think about a bov placement on my setup?? I've got the greddy type rz and the flange, flange is about 6" long, but as you can see the cold pipe is short and "s" shaped, trying to figure that out lol

I honestly do not see the appeal nor point of a mid mount. Seems like a 'forum craze' more than anything.

Some people are doing it as a fad, yes, but the true appeal is to people who actually drive on the track and do not want do damage FMIC piping on cones or tires used as clipping points or track markers. Oh, and its super sleeper status

And you'll get into boost quicker, was made to run without a bov so you would be shifting into boost, I wanted it because I just dropped 15k on my car and didn't wanna cut/remove the bumper invade of an accident.
