Especially when they travel. We've seen "Big Stig", "Rig Stig", "African Stig", "Commie Stig", etc.

Actually they stated last January that the Stig is actually Brad Collins, which makes sense, if you pay attention you'll notice that the Stig maintains height and build throughout the shows, if they used different drivers, the Stig would be 6' in one episode and 5'7 in another.

+1, pretty tough to tell when he is sitting in a car with a helmet on... not side-by-side with another stig.

In episodes where he is standing, for example the episode in Season 12 where they did the 24 hour race @ Silverstone, the episode where they raced across London and he took public transportation. If you notice he is almost as tall as Clarkson (who is roughly 6'2), if he was shorter you'd definitely notice as he would be closer to Hammond's height (who is roughly 5'7).

+1, pretty tough to tell when he is sitting in a car with a helmet on... not side-by-side with another stig.

+2 Helmets can be very deceiving too depending on head size. A 5'8 guy can be taller than a 5'9 if he has a big head and needs a comparable helmet to fit his dome.

I have a huge melon and my helmet makes it very difficult to fit in my MR2 even though w/out I have plenty of head room. My roommate, who is my height, has a normal sized head and fits just fine in there w/a helmet on.
