I bought a U.S. G35x into Canada and did the modifications for DRL but now I was wondering, since I am used to the metric system, is there a way to change my digital readout to metric? I don't care about my odometer, I'm just wondering about the digital temperature readings...

07+ is easy just go to setting and change it. If it is older I am not sure. I think you can do itfrom diagnostic menu. But nort 100%.

Try this

Tape to dashboard

Celsius to Fahrenheit Conversion Formula

To convert Fahrenheit to Celsius, subtract 32, then multiply the result by 5/9ths (or 0.5555).

Example: 50 degrees F minus 32 = 18

18 times 0.5555 = 10 degrees C

To convert Celsius to Fahrenheit, first multiply by 9/5ths (or 1.8), then add 32 to the result.

If you change the clock over to metric it will automatically change the temperature readout to metric.

Well, in your case since you're in Canada and this should be pretty typical for the middle of January, when its 40 below you don't have to convert anything. So I think you can wait until spring.

Radio Shack has a digital thermometer for indoor/outdoor with a switch for Fahrenheit to celsius. It will assist you in becoming familar with both scales without doing the math.

^Cool. You resurrected a 3 year old thread to post a link to a video of the solution posted 3 years ago....
