Is there a way to change the temp readings on the A/C unit from degF to degC?

Thanks

The only mention I see of changing it is on page ATC-50 of the FSM (Factory Service Manual) for "Canada Models Only"

No mention of how it works... probably a ground pulse? I don't know if the climate/audio control head is different, or if there is just an extra switch somewhere...

Ahh... the magic of yahoo search.

And to answer the question the guy asks at the end of the thread, it appears that the black wire that corresponds to pin 14 in the FSM is the one that actually controls the display. When grounded, the display is in celcius, with no ground - the display shows it in farenheit. The second black wire corresponding to pin 24 of the "second" connector is the ground wire to the display... so instead of stripping two wires, you should be able to just ground the wire feeding pin 14.

That's interesting how they designed it.

Nice find Q.
