At least it is better than the dribble that comes out of most lead singers mouths these days. I do like Disturbed as well.

eloquence and creativity noted but repetition intolerable. I like Disturbed, that guys can do freaky stuff with his voice like Davis. I just picked up the new System of a Down, no wait I stole it! That dude is insane! I popped it in the CD player and track one started rolling and I thought "is he singing about, pizza?" funny.

I'm suprized no one has mentioned Rammstein, killer stuff . I have to visit my buddy in Germany so I can see them live!

OMFG!!!! you CAN'T be serious!!!! How the hell can you say, " Cliff Burton is undoubtably the best bassist ever" and then go on to say, "the best band, its gotta be Zepplin"!!!

John Paul Jones could play bass in a coma better than Cliff ever DREAMED of!!! I wouldn't be so brazen as to say that JPJ was the "best" bassist ever... but he is MILES beyond Cliff Burton... in every way imaginable!!!!

John Paul Jones might be eclipsed by the likes of John Entwistle (The Who) or Geddy Lee (Rush) or maybe the fellow from Yes (his name escapes me). Oh... and then there's Steve Harris (Iron Maiden)!

I was gonna say that too. That man knows how to work a bass.(some may catch the pun there, but it wasn't intended)And I was stretching that whole Korn thing. Same musical niche maybe (turntable/rock hybrid), but I don't realy think they sound anything alike.

hmm. i've never been a metallica listener. i suppose any of the earlier albums would be better than the later ones. from my recollection at least.

TMS, 451 was a great book! as far as Linkin Park goes, i used to think they were lame, but i've noticed they have a unique sound going for them, and all their songs on Meteora album are great. as far as lyrical quality, it could be better. but it's not crap. and they're doing their own thing, which i admire.

Zach still owns all! Nobody sounds more pi$$ed than him. Any of the newer angry pi$$ed at the world bands, they are all reaching for what Rage always had. There's a sound in the original Rage CD's that cannot be replicated, or outdone IMHO.

So acutely angry.

I cant stand Rage. My wife loves them, you should see us fight over the stereo if they pop up on the radio. Their singer is such a cry baby. I think music as a whole these days sucks. There is a serious lack of originality going around. There are a few rock bands that are ok, but they still sound like someone else. At least metallica used to be original back in their day.

You want angry, go listen to the Haunted. Awesome band from Sweden. And you guys are right. Burton was good, but JPJ was pretty damn good himself. and Claypool has been known to kick some @$$ on the bass. I dont remember what class i was in, but some kid tried to tell me Metallica was a better band than Zepplin. That they had more talent and were better muscians. i just kinda laughed at him and walked off.

You want angry?

Check out Geoff Tate on Rage for Order... Just pick a track.

4 octaves of pissed-off vocal virtuousity. :ylsuper

St anger sounds like a lousy knock off of a Linkin park song! at least to me it does !

i dont like hardly and music from the 70's to the present, except punk and hardcore, stuff youll never hear on the radio, and rarely see on tv unless its very late and you have Mtv2

I'd like 5 minutes alone in a room with that geek from Linkin... What an annoying damn voice.

Why is everyone so afraid of actually SINGING these days? What happened to TALENT?

DAMN STRAIGHT AZ! i hate the fact that now adays, no body actually sings in bands. i know they were soft, but C,S,and N were one of the best damn groups around. they had real singing talent, as well as musical talent.
