^ I am jealous

Dream Theater rocks.

I might go see Fates Warning at the end of this month, ticket prices don't look too bad

THERE we go. Now we're talking.

Throw in some classic Ryche and we've got the trifecta of awesomeness.

i'll give ya dream theater, that shiz is straight skillz. grandly entertaining. although... would never consider it metal, or even rock for that matter... that kind of stuff is just top-notch musicians being awesome at their instruments. its hard to even label that echelon of music... but then again, i have a rather unique view of things, i'm special. Yes, Opeth is beast. I saw them with Dream Theater a couple years back, one of the best concerts ever.

lol... That song is our song we play when we setup the Corolla on autocross weekends at the track (changing wheels, setting up the suspension, etc). It was odd at Carlisle not hearing it, but the Toyota doesn't have a stereo and my co-driver didn't make the trip up in his support vehicle.

Parkway drive is a band that i find most people either love or hate, there few in between. I saw them at a show about a year ago with MyChildren MyBride and it was a solid show start to finish, im pretty excited their playing Warped tour, they single handily make up for the lack of other metal core bands /*cough*TDWP,ADTR,Misery Signals. I suppose this band now calling themselves "Haste the Day" might be OK, as long as they don't even try to fool us by playing anything off of burning bridges or when everything fails.

But im pretty excited i opened this thread up and found a few more parkway fans, Killing with a smile and Horizons are both CD's that the "next" button sees zero action.

Woohoo, been waiting for this release for awhile, now I have to check if it's been leaked yet..

Oh, and I have my tickets to see Iron Maiden and Dream Theater in June, can't wait!! f*** yeah for Pit!!

Opeth is pretty damn good stuff too, saw them many years ago at a small venue.. one of the best shows of my life.

I listen to all kinds of music and don't like to get caught up in the elitist arguments. Just enjoy the damn music and learn to respect artists for the work they put into it.. geesh.

Hrrrmmmmm.... It's no Cradle of Filth, but that Parkway Drive group isn't that bad. Was never a huge fan of Dream Theater or Queensryche, though they both have a couple songs that I like, Opeth is one of my favorites though. I listen to literally every kind of music (except anything of a religious nature) and I can honestly say that if you want anything super heavy to RAGE to you absolutely can't beat any of the numerous Norwegian Black Metal bands, especially the ones that utilize symphony orchestra's and Classically trained singers for the chorus'.

Bands like Nightwish, Epica, and Cradle of Filth can get you amped up and still have the ability to keep you just under the "Let's go on a Killing Spree " bar. Now if you do want to go on a killing spree you can listen to bands like Dimmu Borgir, Ragnarok, or Mayhem. I actually listen to some stuff that makes people run in the oposite direction. Want to have a good laugh, blare some Norwegian Death Metal in your car with the windows down and drive through the darkest neighborhood you can find and enjoy the looks and comments you get. Had a big dude hanging with his fellow gang-bangers in deepest darkest Camden tell me I need to go find Jesus once, I ROFL'd.

You take that back. DC has produced some of the best black metal ever.

Also, sell me your car. It will save me from going to NJ next weekend.

I just could never get into black metal. The whole image thing and the atmospheric stuff in it makes it a big joke to me.
