You're right. I offered the guy on ebay $390 because I want the exhaust sooner rather than later. He actually went back and forth for 3 offers only to refund my payment later and said the exhaust has a leak and it's a factory recall.

Freddie please pm the prices for burnt tip please. Thanks for the advice about postings but still can't pm. Working on it though :bigthumb:

Freddie are you affiliated with Megan? May I ask how you're aware of their inventory?

I really like the exhaust and plan to buy the setup once I take a break from spending money on my 300ZX.

I sell to members on 3 different forums, craigslist & local M owners.

I get Megan & other brands from my cuz who is trying to open his own shop soon, he just started working on the web-site which is far from done:

http://www.newaceautosales.com/home.html

Unlike ebay I call and make sure that the product is in stock before taking any money.

As of now Megan only has 1 coilover kit in stock and a few mid-pipes, I was told muffler may not be in until mid May.

Need a mid-pipe or coilover don't delay.

Is megan waiting for a certain amount of people to commit? Every month its seems as though they are delaying it for another month. Looks like we all should go another route for an exhaust. Any other options out there?

Other route is custom, cheaper too.

Edit - Cheaper depending on shops.

Sure we can go another route just let me know which brand has a fully mirror polished 2.5" piping from start to finish with Quad tips for a decent price. :gotme

Here's the problem, everyone wants the Megan exhaust system but when they come in most wait to last min just before they're all gone. They only get about 20pcs of each item and they sell pretty quick. They don't even have test-pipes or even y-pipes.

In the past I have purchased the last 3 muffler kits in order to give more time for those that really want them but need extra few days to come up with the money.

So for those that are looking to get the Megan Racing exhaust NOW is the time to buy the mid-pipe while they still have some in stock. When the mufflers come I'm sure all the mid-pipes should be gone and won't be back in stock for another 3 months. How long do you think 20 muffler kits are going to last at the end of spring & the beginning of summer while they been on back order for 5 months?

I went thru the same thing 3yrs ago, I ordered the Mid-pipe and had to wait about 4 months for the mufflers. Megan's just sells too fast and people just take too long to order, then when all stock is gone they just complain.

Same thing is happening with the Sarona roof spoiler, a few people asked me to get some made and try to get them at a better price without a group deal. So Sarona sells them at $295 + $35 shipping = total $330. I now have them for $285 including shipping & paypal fees and Sarona is not very happy with this, but it's happening.

I got 2 made, sold them and pick up another order of 2 but it looks like no one wants them now  as soon as I don't get any more everyone wants them. :tisk:

Thanks for the reply! I would've PM you but I knew I couldn't due to my low post count, that's why I asked here. I'm still considering what to due w/ exhaust at this point, just wanted to know the total for the mid pipes.
New question: Has this exhaust (mid pipes & axle back) ever been tested on a dyno? I'm sure it's been asked before...

Lots of Megan's have been on dyno's but I never seen a before and after test with just that swap. Hp for the Megan mid-pipe & mufflers are rated 8 to 12 hp.

I can tell you the stock piping on the M's are the biggest problem, the y-pipe being the worst.

Y-pipe for the M45 has to be custom made as no one makes them.

Megan is out of stock on the M35 y-pipe

for the M35 guys looking for the Megan Ypipe, you can always run the 350z/G35 Version 2 ypipe...it'll match up perfect....I was just at my buddies shop last week (he's located right next to Megan Racing) and I'll prolly get on of those ypipes.... then I'll have the full Megan exhaust set up

Megan tells me they don't have any y-pipes. I'm in contact with them just about every other day. :frown:

The only thing they have for now is a few mid-pipes, get them while they last.

Sorry at this time Megan doesn't have any axle back exhaust kits for the M's, they only have the mid-pipe.

I'm sure Megan's universal muffler should be the same quality but the problem is welding & shaping hangers, bending pipe and adding flanges.

You can always try a different brand like Stillen, HKS or Magnaflow.

Yes, the burnt tips are a nice look....I was able to pick my set up a while back from the Megan Office -- I think I may have been one of the firsts in So Cal :dblthumb:

Like Freddie says, place your orders now so when they come out with another batch, you won't be left out in the dark.....

Nice pics CPJ LB :dblthumb:

I do like the new tips on the blue exhaust, not only are they double wall but they are longer too. It fills the exhaust opening much better.

They should make those tips without the blue for the regular axle back kit.

I posted in another subforum that I purchased the Megan axleback and mid pipes through a site called THMotorsports. I just wanted to warn you guys that even though they advertise these parts "IN STOCK", they really aren't in stock and will be shipped directly from Megan Racing whenever they have the inventory in. I understand that the product is backordered, so I'm not that upset with THMotorsports, but it's kinda bs that they're advertising "IN STOCK".

By now, it should be obvious that the ONLY way to get Meagans is through Freddie (06M.45). He actually HAS the product in hand, tells you how many he has, and estimates when he will have more. The only times i see reports of trickery is when you use a source other than Freddie. It's a shame that so many places lie to get your money, and it's great we have a source like Freddie who goes to this trouble for us all.
I'm not saying this coz I bought mine from Freddie - I'm happy with my stock set-up and don't even have Megans. Just want the members here to avoid getting tricked by the typical Ebay sellers who have no scruples.

Thanks Larz for the support & kind words. :dblthumb:

Too many scammers out there, The problem is there is no one to stop them. They just keep doing it over and over again.

I can only send a warning to my fellow forum members but just think how many are not members and are getting fooled every day without any warnings at all.

The Megan Racing exhaust for the M's are almost already gone already

Only 2 chrome tip mufflers left and 5 with blue tip.

I'm taking payments now, the 1st 2 people that send paypal payment ([email protected]) for chrome tip will get them.

I knew this was going to happen :frown:
