Mack's mounts are good in the steel part but the rubber's like he said have problems. He stands behind his mounts and He was like the first place to market rb swap mounts. There has been tons of feedback about his mounts. I have a set of the mounts in my s14 with rb26. They allowed me to use OEM oil pan. The trans mount I had to change to use r20 trans then change back for rb25. But the steel part of the mounts had good quality welds. Properly bolted in I could never see you bending on of these. For my rb20 swap into an s13 im going with a new brand of mounts. I’m not using Mack’s mount because of the price. I have been looking in mount books at work. I have found a few rubber mounts that I want to try. I was thinking it would be nice to make a mount kit that used the factory rubber mounts. I was going to bolt the trans in place and Use a hoist to get engine to desired height. Then im going to tack mounts up in place bolted to stock mounts. It would be nice to buy a swap kit that used the OEM mounts. You would just have to drill lower holes in the cross member. Then use the new holes and the OEM mount holes to bolt that on. In a month or two I will post pics of what I have made and were to buy rubber mounts for cheap. I will try to make a copy of all the shapes before I weld them too. Then one should be able to have any welding shop make you them for under 100 I would think. This will be for the rb20 with OEM drive shaft and OEM trans mount changed if needed. One may need access to a metal brake to depending on how wild I need to get when making. For a full out swap like a rb26 just spend the money and get mounts from Mack he stands behind them. Trust me its well worth it.

The company that builds our Isoulators(mounts) is one if the leading aftermarket manufacutors in the world. we are having some problems about 20 have failed in last 5 years,. but We also brake the NISMO mounts in our drift car 2-3 times a year, so car that are worked hard are hard on the isolators no mater what kind you have. They have make 3 changes to them to make them stronger and test them to 800# direct pull. the new changes will solve the problems I'm sure. we also offer a alum puck for drag and high power cars....we tryed the stock mount but getting the motor in place was very complicated, but not impossible.

NISMO = stock replacement upgrade

They make RB mounts... so I'd assume unles they were runing an RB in their drift car, that they would use NISMO mounts.

We do more than just RB parts We also do SR20 engines for racing and swap for the SR into other cars. Our drift cars uses what ever engine the drivers need and want Sr or RB We produce both in very fast drift cars...

sorry to bring this thread back, but over the weekend while getting ready to remove my motor.. I looked down at my mount as I was getting ready to loosen the bolt for the motor bracket.. to see that well it was broken. The metal part with the bolt was seperated from the rubber isolator bushing... I emailed Mack.. waiting for a response. Im kinda pissed about it.. something I wasnt expecting and especially for the price I paid for them.

YES i have been monitoring the last few posts ... only time will tell how my mounts will turn out. as it stands, mack is very much involved and willing to swap out the old poly mounts which says alot about him and his shop.

uhh.. I took the picture above.. And if his new improved mount bushings are what I think they are, as In basically a solid Bolt through a metal bushing I dont see them breaking. As In scary ****, not to bad, The motor is going no where unless both sides broke, even then its pretty pinned in there. And if both sides went im sure as hell the driver would notice......

You know what not to talk ****, but this is why I'm going to go with any other mounting kit other then Mckinny. Reasons. 1.Over priced2.Quality3.Other options becoming availible 4.Doesn't use stock 240 bushings

I've talk with Geoff @ Full Race about mckinny and he told me that they'er (Full Race) is looking at a new manufactured mount kit. He didn't have a date for release but he did talk about the kit. He told me that it would end up costing anywere for the same or a little more then mckinny. Along with using the stock bushing and stock rb mounts, the kit would consist on 1 soild piece. so, Thanks but no thanks. I'll wait.

the mckinney's mounts looks so elementary to all the mounts i have seen out there (not rbs specifically), at their price, it should all be at least CNC, but just look like theirs should not worth more than $150. if you all have access to the rb's crossmember, use it.
