Man, this is gonna SUCK

.... SOME AWESOME AMOUNTS OF AIR!
Nice build my fellow calandar friend (ahem, Mr. October here)! :yesnod Question though: What's with the gold coated turbine housing in the earlier pic, but not on the built pics? Different turbo for mock-up? Just curious.

Yeah. The first turbo is a BW airworks S262R it was the first hybrid turbo I was using. a S362 rear w/S200 front part. Then the shop I bought it from said they encountered problems with the 5 they sold already. So because I didnt wanna blow the engine I went with this. The rear of the new turbo just came back from coating, looks the same. I went with this new hybrid turbo because its 3mm bigger then the GT35R and spools like a GT30R. I should lay down some serious power and not have the lag of the GT35R. As for the HKS comment.......I just thought it was weird.

Not over board, just a legit build up. I'll have to say that those are some of the best looking wheels I've seen.

Thanks, I fell in love with them back in 2003. I had to wait along time because the are a custom color and size. BUT....worth the wait!

Its all turning out good. I wanted to use all high quality parts and Tomei is my favorite japanese company. I could have gone bigger turbo and made 700+hp. but I dont want a car thats all peaky in the powerband. This engine set up is awesome and perfect for what I need. Im not a big drag racer!

I wanted a tomei genesis 2.2 crate engine. BUT after researching it I found somethings out. Tomei engines dont come sleeved, there is NO warranty and there is no port and polishing of the cylinder head. I already knew I would have to send my engine in as a core. So I figured I'd just build it my way. Its turning out good.

Looks great man! Cant wait to hear that beast up and running!!
Sad to see this isn't crowded with comments, this is an extremely expensive and legit build, but no one is loving it!! :tisk:
But would love to see the car a little lower, but i know michigan roads blow!
But sick build man, i love it and can't wait for more! :dblthumb:
