I predict that we are about to get a severe scolding from Magellan in just a few minutes.

I don't want to pay someone to hack it. I want to hack it myself! I would like to know what kind of PLC is inside. I'd like to change it to if the passenger seat senses a person sitting in it, that will enable the NAV. Just like if a little kid is in the passenger seat, the airbag will turn off.

I don't understand the point of that. Are you saying you want it to only show video when someone is in the passenger seat? With a toggle switch you can easily only switch it on when someone is in the passenger seat. Since the video and Nav-grey-out work together, if you do what you are suggesting, you won't be able to use the nav hack either unless someone is sitting in the passenger seat.

I guess if I was to hack it, it may as well be accessible all the time. I'm just saying, keeping safety in mind, it should have originally been programmed to allow a passenger to access these features...Where would this toggle switch be anyway? I don't want an ugly aftermarket switch on my dash.

You can't even see it. It is under the dash. I only need to switch it ocassionally so it's no big deal.

I know i am a little out of the pack(350Z), but for the record i have been between 140-150 about 4 different times, not too many places to open it up, all the good straights i come across either have traffic or cops. I would like to tack her out one day though, just to see what its like....... Hit 140+ last weekend in a chase race against a G35. He was a driver for sure, tried testing me a little though but i just kept getting close and backing off to let him know i was faster and he couldn't lose me. Kind of fun, going that fast makes freeway curves feel like corners and the over passes were like a roller coaster. Was a rush for sure!
