When I first got my Rogue i had no idea how much i was going to fall in love. I've become obsessed with modifying it to the point where I decided to make a build thread. This way there is another source of ideas for mods, all in one place, that people may or may not want to do to their cars. I'll start with some mostly stock pics. I decided to name her Maryann. She is a 2013 nissan Rogue special edition.

I did get seatbelt covers at the time this pic was taken. You can kind of seem them

Side shot, I had already gotten the windows tinted here

Im in the buffalo area, and got the tint done at a place called audiomotive creations. Also had a remote started installed from there as well. Sadly the special edition didn't come with heated seats. Asked my local nissan dealer if they could add them in and one of the techs directed me to an aftermarket place,Casulloas automotive, and I had them installed there

During my 6hr drive to Buffalo I was looking around my car and thought, it would be pretty cool if these trim piece came in other colors kind of like how the Nissan juke is extremely customizable(not sure why, I think it's hideous on the outside). Any who with that thought when I got to buffalo I decided to paint the trim pieces red

I used Rustoluem red gloss paint and did decided to do some layers of clear coat as well

Shortly after I did the trim piece I decided to tint the tailights. Got the idea from the Nissan Muarno. Love how it looks in person. Camera on my phone certainly doesn't do it's justice

Shortly after I pulled the tailights it started snowing, i thought "just my luck :frown: "

Before and after pic. I used VHT Night shade since it's made for tinting tailights

Saved a bunch of money for spring break but then found out I have exams the day I get back(I'm a college student) so any vacation I took would just be a mistake. So I decided to go buy new wheels. Always been really picky about wheels because I feel like they make or break a car. Searched a bunch of places but ended up actually buying these 19in konigg wheels from a friend of mine that goes to my school

Wasn't too concerned about fitment other than matching the bolt pattern of course because how the Rogue is sized and i'm still on stock ride height. Even if they didn't fit I was well prepared to make them

Fell so in love I decided to even have dinner with one of them first

Was bored around this point in time so I decided to get the bottom two stickers. The first one came form audiomotive creations when they tinted my windows. Got the last one because it's hilarious and ironic since my wheel gap is huge.

Decided to swap out all the interior and license plate bulbs with LEDs. The trunk light was a b***h because of the way it's made. The license plate ones were certainly not mounted the way I picked it to be. Getting that back in took a while too since I have big hands

Wasn't expecting to go behind this panel on the trunk to get to the license plate bulbs on. I figured they would have to be changed from outside of the vehicle.

Was happy to figure out they twist into place and not some "push down tab and pry" nonsense. :woot:

might as well, continue the black up the a-pillar and to the rear. dont forget the crease on the fender that goes along the a-pillar.

While I was looking into the bumper being taken off I came across this thread

home-depot-mod-installation-pics-t445193.html

Which caught my attention quickly since I'll be driving to texas this summer(24hr+ drive)

Went Lowes to pick up the material, only $7 spent

And After. Hands were freezing so I was in a rush to take the pic and go inside. As a result, mediocre picture quality

Just noticed you posted in the Gallery back in January.

Nice mod thread. keep adding to it whenever you change things.

Did you say you painted the hood? Seems a bit drastic to me, but hey that's just me. Did you think about using Plasti-Dip? With that you can try it out and if you don't like it just peel it off.

Yes I painted it. I was skeptical about it at first too but after all,no one ever accomplished anything by staying in their comfort zone. I'm familiar with plastic dip.
Looking back it does make more sense to that first, then just spray over it with the gloss paint if I do like it and peel it off if I don't. I was too caught up in the fact that it has a matte finish so I just stayed away from it LOL.
Thanks for the suggestion!

I'm guessing you're talking about this crease here(She's extremely dirty right now, seeing how well those spots stand out on the paint make me wonder how black car owners deal with that :gotme )
Image

My only issue is trying to create the curve that will run to the a pillar. Question becomes do I connect the black stripe to the bottom of the side view mirror or cut in above the mirror a bit and work my way up

After that there's this is in the back. Widen's out a bit. Guess it would make the most sense to use the end of the spoiler as a cut off line. Not entirely sure tho. Any thoughts? This will more than likely something i'll plasti dip as darylzero mentioned to see how it changes the look. Love the way the side profile looks naturally, same with the rear view(although I personally feel it's hard to capture how good the rear view looks unless you have an above average camera)
Image

Is tempting now looking at the picture some more. The majority of the scratches on this car are on the a pillar on both the passenger and drivers side(courtesy of my mother) so this idea would finally get rid of those.
