I'm on the lookout for manual seatbelts for my S13. I was looking for a pair of 180sx seatbelts and pillars but those are pretty hard to come by. What are some good alternatives because I heard a pair of S14 seatbelts can fit but they are a bit thicker so they don't look as nice. I don't want a race seatbelts because this is my daily driver so Takata's are out of the question.

Any advice?

I believe Canadian S13s had traditional seatbelts.

Yes, almost every 240SX up here has manual seatbelts. Unless it was imported from the US. If you want to find some for cheap, look up the local ads on kijiji.ca or craigslist, there's always people parting out S13s up here.

Nice, those fit the USDM 240sx's right? Same with the pillar panels and such?

You can use S14 manual seat belts. And when you do get manual belts, you will need Canadian B-pillars (they have holes in it) or you can cut dremel tool to make holes.

I heard the b pillar holes for the manual seatbelts don't fit S14 seatbelts because they are a little wider then traditional S13 seatbelts. Just something I heard.

I also heard that the older Maxima seatbelts also work???

If you have S14 seatbelts, you are set. The only modifications you need to do to make them fit are:

Drill a hole in the b-pillar panel for the bolt.
Notch the panel underneath it as shown in the last picture above ^ so the belt can slide through.

Those are the only mods you need to do as far as getting them to fit. You should be able to use your hardware as well. The only other work involves removing the old automatic belt system, which includes the rails, belts, and the control module that is underneath the center console.

Will I need to modify the buckles at all?

S14 buckles will fit in S13 receivers. :)

Here's a nice link. Sadly most of the pictures don't work anymore. But the instructions help somewhat.

You can use a small hole saw to cut the B pillars and bolt the s14 ones in, you also have to cut a small slit on the rear arm rest panel for the belt to slide in and out of. Very easy to make them look super clean. I will dig up some pictures of my friends car. They work out great with or without interior panels.

Yea, I'm getting fed up from using non-working auto seatbelts and my passenger doesn't realize they have to reach down to get the seatbelt and not the traditional way...

Im pretty sure almost any nissan seat belts will work. I have old hard body manual seat belts in my s13. Take the receiver and see what fits. The retriever roller thing is the same.

yeah 200sx seatbelts are bolt in. S14 into s13 seems to leave about an inch at the top where you will need to ziptie it vertical or do the smart thing and make a small bracket. Don't get your wallet raped trying to get 180sx stuff, unless you are going for authentic.
