the far right stud on the exhaust manifold is broken. i do not know how long it has been like that. My turbo is now out of the engine bay and i would like to know is it worth trying running it 7 out of 8 studs? I have already tried to remove it, ill try once more i guess.

thanks,alex

weld a nut onto the stud and then let it sit for a bit soaked in PB-blast should come right off.

im running right now the same way ,have been for a couple of months.i cant notice a diff but probally should fix it soon though, if you dont think you get it out with that extractor bit w/out destroying your block, take it to a shop.

Bolt outs for the win.

Running without one of the studs isn't that smart of an idea. The manifold will allow gasses to leak and you'll have one hell of an annoying exhaust leak.

That same stud broke on me! I also broke a flywheel bolt into the crank and I just broke a ARP head stud! Looks like I need a new torque wench. Its really eazy to mess up. I had a mag-drill and was bearly able to get them out. The exhaust stud stripped outI tapped out the hole to fit a bigger bolt!

get a bolt extractor, i just snapped a bolt off in my flywheel and they work great. its a reverse thread bit, you drill a hole in the broken thread, put the extractor in and it comes right out, try napa or autozone about 11$
