MAKE STOCK EXHAUST TIPS CHROME

Mine came gold plated, altough the gold plating is now dirty. Part of the standard gold plating package. Gold plating was "hot" in the 90's.

Ok, so I was thinking to myself; why arent my tips chrome? I mean Infiniti is a luxury brand, and they should have put some extra quality into the car. So I looked at the tips closely, after I washed them, and cleaned them, and they still looked crappy. To cut the story short, I tried some steel wooll. This stuff is cheap, and cleans almost every metal.

Haha! It's funny you say that becaause I was thinking the same exact thing yesterday. I wasn't sure about using the steel wool becase I thought it would scratch the heck out of it, but since you've done it, I guess I can too!

I'll post some before and after pics of my '96 Q45 tips as well.
