Use your nose and track down the burn. It could be a melted wire or connector, not just the BCM itself. If it is the BCM, I'd split the housing (easy to do, just plastic pawls) and see if there's a burnt trace on the PCB. Those can usually be fixed by soldering a wire across the injury. Post pics either way, melted wiring or connectors may get complicated but can usually be circumvented if not repaired. Once you locate the burned circuit, we'll make suggestions.
