I know this has been disscussed before but I would appreciate comments.I am considering doing the Uprev thing. Will this void my warranty.Does it lean the motor to a scarry point!I would like to leave the car stock ,except the Uprev.Does it change the transmission shifting?Obviously I have many questions so comments are appreciated.I did what i think is a similar mod to my 2012 Boss 302 Laguna Seca and gained 37 hp on the dyno .This gave me the idea of the Uprev on my 2008 M45.This car ,by the way is GREAT.My last M45,a 2006 I put 137000 with NO problems! Thanks again for any help.

NO it will not void your warranty. It will not cause your car to run lean, a tune is simply optimizing the way the engine runs. More HP is just a consequence of the engine running the best it can with the optimal air/fuel ratio. I was just out playing with mine tonight and bone stock it was around 14:1 AFR at full throttle, I adjusted the electronic throttle to open all the way and dialed in the AFR so that it was running around 13:1 and man it rips. Can't wait to mod it.

You can adjust the torque management tables to firm up the shifts but can't adjust the actual shift points.

As well as removing the speed limiter, raising/limiting the rev limiter, etc.

I also lowered the fan engagement point so that it runs a little cooler in traffic

i got mine done not to long ago, i love it.
its going to make it more rich, than lean. cause our car is already lean from the factory.
do you have any mods? like intake or exhaust?

Here's some recent info:
getting-an-uprev-t564707.html

For those who have UpRev tunes, are you able to change parameters yourself afterwards?
For $600, I wouldn't want it to be a one-shot deal... I would prefer having the ability to customize to my preferences.

yeah, they give you 5 maps,
my map 1- sports tune
map 2- sport tune but less
map 3- stock
map 4- valet mode, revs up to 3000 rpm and only goes up to 30 mph
map 5, anti theft mode, will stall the car until i change modes. so i can leave the car key in and walk around for abit and come back. ( but i never do that)

i can change it by holding the set cruise control down, and pressing cancel, so if i want to go to map 2, i would hold down set, and press cancel twice, if i wanna go to map 5, hold set, and press cancel 5 times.

If you go to a shop and get dyno tuned you leave with the Osiris license and tune flashed onto your ecu, and have to either go back to the shop or purchase an uprev cable to access it yourself afterwards.

There are 2 levels of cable:
1) Osiris standard which only allows you to flash premade tunes onto the ecu, return it to stock, and datalog/check & clear codes with cipher
2) Osiris tuner which gives you complete access to the tuning software. You can do basically anything a shop can do.

The license never "expires" or wears out, so as long as you have a cable you can remove it and sell it used/ use it on a difference vehicle. The new owner will still need to get a tune for their setup, but that's a lot cheaper than $600.

Yep, anyone who wants to do anything other than just put gas in the car should have the Osiris standard at minimum.
The data logging capability of the system is more than worth the money. Plus you get the option to maximize the performance, economy and longevity of your car.
