i got the motor from heavy throttle back when they still sold rb's. they actually sold me their last rb25 back in '05 because they were having problems with their shipper receiving the motorsets with rb20 trannys mounted (i had to wait like 2-3 months before they got a good one with a rb25 trans). thanks to jeff over there, he hooked me up with some free AN turbo coolant lines.

Hey man, been following this thread for awhile now, and definitely have to give you some major prop-age(not a word) for your dedication, passion and hard work.

I almost feel the need to start a donation to get you some heating in the garage so you can work it out during the winter as well.

I, along with everyone else on this forum is anxiously waiting on the conclusion of this rebuild, so please don't give up!!

Some magazine should do a interview on you I swear. But either way, if your garage is anywhere near the city, I'd love to come by one day with some of my friends, just to admire the hard work and see if we can squeeze some advices out of you, and see if we can help out or anything.

peace.

I'll be patiently waiting for your next update!!

i said i wanted to get a 240 and build from ground up but is it possible for me find one this old without the massive rusting? i figured that his 240 was exposed to way different elements than we see here in the south so that could have contributed big time to his rust problems

yes it should be possible you live in texas its hot and dry there, if you lived where I do we pay a premium for a rust free 240 everything over 10 years old around here starts turning into a rust bucket unless its garage kept

I have now read every page of this thread, but that's nothing like the dedication to this rebuild. Now subscribed Oh how I want to do this. Amazing work man, and keep it coming!

A lot of texas isn't really that dry. Arizona is probably one of the best states to find rust free shells sitting in it.

Yeah, we get some rain every once in a while and ice one or two days a year usually. It's not bad though.

Reading this thread makes me sooo glad I live in Cali. My shell sat outside uncovered for 2 years before I bought it. I have yet to see rust anywhere...yea All you East Coasters can hate
