I want to lower my 2004 M45 but as you all know, just adding springs isn't the right way to do things. I'd like to know what the most popular spring/shock combo is. Also, are caster/camber plates needed or can a shop align a lowered M45 to factory settings?

I'm sure bilstein or koni makes a nice shock for the M45 that can handle the spring rates of whatever lowering spring is out there, but this is my first Japanese car so I don't know.

You'll be fine with a spring only setup. I've been on Eibachs for almost two years now. Front drop of 1.0-1.1 & 1.1-1.2 rear drop is recommended. With such a minimal drop your OEM struts will not suffer any real damage. Yes, shops can re-allign this car back to spec as long as the car isn't too low. My Infiniti service guy suggested no more than what I stated above. Caster and Camber kits are pretty much out of the questions. Hell, it is hard enough to locate springs for this car!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure others will beg to differ, but in my experience with other cars and this one I'm pretty confident in my statement. My previous car (Acura Legend Coupe) I was forced to upgrade both as you mentioned (struts & springs) at the same time due to the fact that the car was lower over 2.25 inches. I used Koni sturts and Ground Control Coilovers at the time.

Do you have the part numbers for the eibachs? Also, any other springs out there worth looking at besides the eibachs?

eibach part no. 6371.140. And in my opinion No, there is nothing else worth looking at. I 've seen the tein springs and they look stock from the pictures posted here. These was some talk of the tanabe coilover, but not sure if anyone went after them.zerothread/284469

This has been talked about over and over again and almost everybody has called shops. They do not make them anymore and you will not find them. Do a search and you will see what I mean.

keep trying. It took me a few calls to locate mine. We have a memeber here name "eskay" who located a set of eibachs back in April I believe. I'm sure some goober is sitting on 4 or 5 set in his shop somewhere.

I'm going to keep trying. If I manage to find some I'll let everyone know. I guarantee someone has some of these on a shelf somewhere.
