NOW WAIT A MINUTE!!!!! He provided a legitimate source! This was a good find on Manuel's part aka marosari00 !!! He found the link and had a simple question, so its all good.I'm sure many of us would entertain any source that claims to have springs or coilovers for this rare beast. I just spoke with Kyle at HPS (horse power freaks) and he said that he could get the Tanabe coilovers for the 03- 04 in a week. I made sure it was for the 03-04! I asked him twice. Kyle is familiar with the Nico forum, so if someone can put together a group buy they will discount them by 12-13% ship the sets for $35.Eyedea wrote:There should be a rule on noobs that lead us members on a wild goose chase on springs/coilovers for the 03 m45 platform. This is getting out of hand
Simply said: Before you post that you found a link that has suspension parts for the 03/m45, please call them first and verify that they are in stock!
Waste of bandwith.
Well, the response I got was from JIC not Tanabe., This is Horse Power Freaks and they sell the Tanabe. I believe they said 3 or 4 people would be needed.Eyedea wrote:Quite a difference response to what you got when you called. Apologies.
How many sets do they require for the group buy to go through? Is there a core charge like with JIC?
Also since I am a skeptic...

I called them to specifically ask about the 03 04 M’s. That has to count for something.auditech10 wrote:They arent listed on their site for the Y34 at all. I have never seen them listed anywhere else, either.
Link spec?? I'm guesing that means spring rate, ect... This appears to be a valid source, but I do understand the skepticism(sp) I suggest you guys call with the technical questions if you are interestedauditech10 wrote:Have them give us a link of specs and such, if you were to talk to them again, Cake.As far as anybody else is concerned, they do not exist, is all I was saying.Best regards
I wonder what happened here:zerothread?id=317537Good news if it’s available but my only concern would be the camber. I’m not too sure if that (.2) would kick you out of spec. I feel right back in spec with 1.0xxNite wrote:*UPDATE* April 4th, 2008*
Just got off the phone with Dave (ext 103) @ Horsepower Freaks. They can get the Intrax springs for the '03-'04 M45.It's a 1.2" drop all the way around. The springs will set you back a bit over $260 + shipping.
Sounds good to me. I have to take a good hard look at where that would put my car. 1.2" sounds a bit much for Philly PA... our roads suck. This may be the town where "Rocky" came from, but I bet if he were to run up the Art museum stairs today, he'd fall and bust his azz in a pothole on the stairs! PENNDOT is friggin L-a-z-y here...
And for the record. HorsePower Freaks is a trustworthy vendor. The guys over at MKIV SupraForums have been using them successfully for years.

righteous!! I wanna see it happen my man. get low baby!!xxNite wrote:A few vendors have been putting the part numbers for Intrax springs incorrectly.
The Intrax springs SPECIFICALLY for our Y34 M45's is part number:"60.1.055" with a 1.2" drop all around
I found a vendor that had 60.1.075 listed for M45's, which is incorrect. The "075" is meant for the FX35/FX45 and has a drop of 1.8".
So it's not uncommon that someone could receive the wrong springs if they don't triple-check for manufacturers specs. I sure am glad I did...I think I'll order a set of 60.1.055's next week so I can drop it low like you CakeDaddy.
