yup, I'm FINALLY going to lower my car! I would like to give a big thanks to Mehdi. without him, this would not be happening. thanks again for the springs mehdi, I really appreciate it.

So I wasnt going to make this thread until after I had the springs installed so people don't have to wait for pics BUT I will be lowering the car tomorrow or friday (probably friday) and I would like a how to guide. I looked in the how to section and theirs no pics. I emailed the mods and they said it's something their working on that got messed up during the switch to the new forums. I suck at searching. I've tried several times and have failed every time. who ever wrote the write up on how to install the Eibach pro-kit on the 3.5se coupe, could you please send me a link to the original thread (or anyone whos good at searching). the original thread should have pics but when it got posted in the how to section, the pics got lost (for now anyways). oh and here is a pic of my car as it is now

Nice. Glad Viper found the original thread. I couldn't think of the guy that originally did the write-up. Good luck on the install man and enjoy!

LOL ya, I'm probably going to get some scratches on my fascia at first. my brother's mustang is super low and his corvette was super low and if you go in sideways super slow, the car wont really scrape too much.

Best piece of advice I can come up with: in the back two wheels, when it comes time to unbolt the tray supporting the rear springs from the wheel assembly, do not put your head inside the wheel well in order to get more leverage. The action once it comes free will scare the buhjeesus out of you, and you'll probably hit your head on the inner edge your rear fender in a moment of sheer instinctual panic.

It'll be funny as hell for anybody watching (my buddy pulled off the first of them while we were installing my coilovers, so I was lucky there), but you might dimple the lip in the process.

Installed the front and then we ran out of time lol plus my friend is busy tomorrow so hopefully sunday morning we'll install the rear ones. so you can see how the front is low and the rear is high. I can make it up my driveway with only scraping the bottom of my fascia where no one can see when I go sideways... we'll see if it gets any lower as they settle in

no, I cant do that lol I was actually looking forward to lowering the back more then even the front. I have a Stillen front fascia so the front already looked ok and now I'm probably going to scrape on stuff if I'm not careful. but I really wanted to lower the back because I think it will really make my quad exhaust tips look nicer

I better make sure everything is perfect with the car :(

haha looks awesome like that. How does it handle the way it is right now? Probably kind of strangely.

While you may be one of the last OG's to install Eibach's, I got another coupe and probably won't lower this time around.

hmm, is that a matter of opinion shift_coupe or was there something wrong with lowering them? im considering installing them on mine but im afraid of running over something like a speed bump and tearing it up..

Bottoming out is a problem. Stock set-up, you can ignore speedbumps... feels like you've got to get below 1mph with these coilovers. Don't know how the Eibach does.

Its just a matter of preference. The roads here in CT and New England are just awful in some places. I grew tired of always being extra careful where I went. Out where Hussain is the roads are very nice I'm assuming, since they don't see winter weather.

where i live, the roads are not in the best of shape, and speed bumps are poorly made in some areas, lol they look like triangles made out of asphalt, and then just super glued to the road..

ya for the most part the roads by me are pretty good. especialy since I live in Elk Grove. it used to be part of Sacramento but then the big boom with the housing market and it's like a whole new city with new roads every where. plus we don't have humps in the road... I was visiting family in Colorado and instead of speed bumps, they had massive dips in the road to slow ppl down.

^^ werd- does this mean im the last original owner to not lower the ac? haha oh man- this is like- a crowning achievement!!!!!!!!

except the massive avg 6 ft of snow every day in the winter, and the terrible road conditions in the summer... lol

as consolation, when my stock springs go out- i'll get eibachs :P itll finish my coupe once and for all. i dnt think theres nething aside from the RL endlinks i dnt have lol
