When cultures clash. While feathers ruffled, the vast majority of posters here fight to restore what was/is an excellent car in the Gen. 1 and Gen. 2 Q. Often new owners are coming in with a small initial outlay of cash only to find that to get these cars anywhere close to optimal will require skill, time and money. Not in order. Shame the tone has become so condescending. The passion is shared for these cars. There is also the collision of people who have owned these cars for 18+ years reacting to 18 to 25 year olds. All the same, the care and expense you VIP crowd apply to your cars is heavy. Seeing a tire worn to threads is kinda scary though. Cheers,M.L

Yea I figured that when I first posted!I jus wanted to humor the reaction of my car while VSC was down! Also thought a little that I would get respect from fellow Q45 owners!Didn't know VIP was so tabo! hahahahaha! I LIKE IT EVEN MORE!
It's an attitude and a style, as with every other style, some will get it and some won't. some wear Prada and some wear members only.....See you over at VSC.

Guess it's one of those things the East Coast part of me just can't understand.
Im sorry but i have to ask if you REALLY think your Q is fast? You are talking about a 4500-5000 lb car roughly(dont know g50's weight to spec). With what 260 hp? similar torque?

Im sorry but no.....

I went from a stage 5 Audi S4 to my GS300 to my Q. I havent looked back. Driving in a city is not for a 500hp car that weights 3800 lbs. My y33 is slow as BALLS man... It gets up to highway speeds in a timely enough manner for me, but my god this car is not fast.

Im sorry but i could never imagine even attempting performance in this thing....

I will tell you I can match damn near my S4 with this thing in any corner with -6 degrees camber.

Until you have owned a real performance car you cannot act as if a Q45 is a performance car. It was never meant to be, it never will be.

/end rant

G50's are quite fast. Especially given their size.

On paper it shows 278 HP. In reality it's more like 300-305. Toss in a NICO ECU and you're looking at 330 HP. Not bad for a 4 door family sedan that's 15 years old eh? And this is without weight reduction.

I've raced enough people to be suitably impressed. I used to race around in an '03 325i. I'm glad that I can feel almost the same way in my Q.

FY33's are a bit inferior to the G50. They look great after a VIP treatment (sans retarded camber), but the G50 is just the faster vehicle.

I have my toe corrected at my driving height and I dont see any extra ordinary tire wear. My tires blow out before I could notice any camber wear.

Some may like camber, some dont. I like it when it is consistant front and back and kept to a minimum (in the VIP world thats like -5 degrees). I personally wouldnt run more then -3 degrees but I love shoving very wide negative offset wheels in my fenders so camber is needed to complete the look that I wanted
