I did the "two exhaust cams" upgrade yesterday - Feels like a nice 10-15hp gain, mostly at mid-high range.

did you lose any power anywhere? also, how was the swap? im not too familiar with how youd go about swapping cams on the 240. this is one of the upcoming mods id like to do soon. any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

No need to touch the valves. Simple install, JWT actually has instructions that suffice for this swap.

That's great, hitman what's the rpm range where it's most noticable? Cause IMO the KA needs a kick in the *** a little after 4k. Well it's good to know it was a simple mod, welp one cam down one to to go!

Seems like it helps above 3 - 3.5K.

Still slow, just not AS slow.

LOL...it's not about the 1/4 mile. Wait, that's a different thread.

Anyway, did you check your valve lash? If so, was it as difficult as it looks to be? I'd love to do cams at some point, but the thought of checking valve lash and having to possibly buy those stinking overpriced Nissan shims has frightened me off.

within the next few months, wasabigarage.com is going to have a KA24DE short runner manifold for sale. You'll definitely want to pick one up. The stock one... just bleh. Not sure how low budget you mean, but he said it'll be around 300-400 dollars.

Well, if he wants to sell any here on NICO, he'll get in touch, hook me up, and I'll write a review (and make him a deal on advertising).

Brad - No need for the shims to my knowledge.

You can email him at [email protected] if you'd like. I actually came up with the idea to have one made (since there aren't any out there, and the stock manifold just doesn't cut it). He was going to make one eventually, but said he put it off due to lack of demand, so I posted around and drummed up some demand. Long story short, I got a bunch of people willing to buy, and he's making it now.
