Ya, it seems Mustang owners hate on my car. A guy w/ a V8 5.0 Stang wanted to race me the other day, me and him went at w/ words while I was at work. He pissed me off, So Im gonna juice it and blwo his *** away. 92 Stock POS 5.0 stang gonna get owned!!!

1/4 mile time in sig below: time with only a cat back and underdrive pullies, all else stock right down to the fram paper air filter. the car is a 5 speed. I dont know what it will run now since ive added an off road h-pipe, short belt and a k&n, should be around 13.80-13.90's at about 100mph. if its stick and he can drive watch out for the 5.0.

Oh Ill have the juice on my car when I run and hopefully my header and cam. I think I can take a ragged out 5.0. Its rednecked owned, so they already think they are more superior to me cause he has a v8 and I have a 4, his words were a 4 banger wont ever pass a v8, ignorance is great

are you racing from a dead stop or a roll? if his 5.0 is stock then off the line its a dog because the gearing from the factory is too long. the 5 speeds came with 2.73:1 :rolleyes and the AOD came with hohum 3.27's. I still turn better 60 foot times at the track with my 5.0 than i did with my 240 though. How big of a shot are you running?

Well Im gonna use my friends nitrous lines, Its a 50 or 75 shot fogger system. So I think that out the whole will bust a 5.0. Cause he used them in his Ford Escort and busted a cobra mustang. I couldnt believe but I seen it w/ my own eyes. And his was a all stock Escort GT w/ Nitrous. So Im thinking nitrous in my car will work just fine enough to do the job.

the cobra was not racing then, even a 75 shot will not take a 16-17 second escort and turn it into a 13 second car

oh this was through the 8th mile, The cobra ran like a 9.4 and he ran like a 9.2.

a 9.4 1/8th mile time converts to a 14.6 1/4 mile time, unless the cobras wheels were made of lead or he was spinning the wheels the entire time i do not see a cobra running a 9.4 and no way do i see a stock escort running 9.2. I found an old timeslip wth a 9.44 1/8th mile at 74 mph and finished the 1/4 at [email protected].

ya but thats what happened. And usually them calculations are not correct on 1/8 -> 1/4, because cars pull differently once getting close to top end, a CRX around here runs all the time between a 9.5-9.6 but when he went to the 1/4 the best he could do was a 15.1

true that they are not 100% accurate but a cobra should not be running a 9.4 in the 1/8th. what year was it?

theres a 240 in my are with a stock sr20 and a 55 shot and best ive seen it run is 14.8 and that was on a cool night tii

Ya, I see the turbo eclipses run like mid-high 10s. Eww, and they have a turbo, fastest import I seen was a SR240 and AWD talon 240-8.4Talon-8.5

ive seen a talon run 9.40@148mph in the 1/4 mile running almost 35psi and a 100 shot with slicks on all 4 wheels. had ot be the sickest launching car ive ever seen. 94 started the new body style but the 4.6 was not introduced until 96. 94 and 95 still had the 5.0. There is no doubt that imports can be made fast, any car can be made fast with money. I just dont see that escort running like that. The only other sr20 powered 240 ive seen ran 13.40's with 14psi and a bad tune. now i think hes in the 12's though. i know what the 240 can do, but having owned both you better bring a lot to take him in a run longer than an 1/8th mile. anyhting after that and you may get walked.

Ok Ill put a 75 shot on my car Shame though lots of ppl put like anywhere from a 75-100shot of nitrous on their 240 w/ no problems and my car has been babied and well taken care of. If its blows Ill let u know

I hope it's well maintained. Those 240's after 10 years tend to dry out the gaskets and if you aren't careful, the added pressure might crack them.

Everyone in my area loves my ride, no hating on the car, except for this one loser......

so yeah, I'm partying at this dl beach party to end off the summer. This hot chick who's pants I wouldn't mind eenvading came with me, and she got 3 of her friends to come with us after the party got busted. So this hater starts stepping on my front bumper, just a few days after ipainted my car. So the hottie is telling him to F off, I just painted my car and all, and he goes and jumps on my bumper again. I didn't want to grab the crow bar that was under my seat, so ijust peeled off, kicking up dirt in his face. I was too trashed to take the risk of cops coming, and the party was already busted, didn't want to cause a scene, oh well, I think he was hating more on my mack daddy skills than the car, hating all the same IMO.

trueslide, race him with your nitrous and find an area with alot of bends and twists. You should be able to take him on turns, but in a straight line, VERY unlikely

Eh, a lot of people here don't have respect for too many other cars. : ) Personally, I have respect for anything fast. However, just like the new eclipses, the mustang has been nuttered. I'm not really a fan of that, nor did I ever really like rustangs in the first place. : ) But hey, to each his own. : )

Im not hating on mustangs, a friend of mine has a 95 that runs like 11s in the 1/4, I just hate most of the owners, they are irritating, they think they are superior because they have some v8, IMO size really dont matter to much anymore, you can get a turboed 4 banger to outrun a v8 and u can get a v8 to outrun a turbo 4 banger. Some rustang owners I like, they give the 240 props for what it is. ANd some are just like its a POS b/c its a 4 banger, so I say **** em.

I have a good friend that owns a 5.0, he's a nice kid, and he's open minded. I just hate that most domestic owners think v8s and big blocks are the be all end all. Like what was already said, fast is fast.

With all that said....I still personally don't like Mustangs. I like to be able to make turns in my car. Plus 5 liters of engine and all they could get was 225hp?? I never got why american cars couldn't make bigger numbers out of their huge engines.

I'm not bothered by the American Muscle owners when they trash imports, though I never heard of anyone talking smack about a 240, its probably just ignorance. Anyway, my cousin just bought a s14, and me owning a Maxima sometimes makes me want to trade my car in for one. Do you guys think Maximas are slow?
