Well like it says in the title, i think i have a loose valve. There is this clicking kinda noise coming from under the valve cover and when i open up the throttle the clicking gets faster. I've gotten some opinions and thats what those opinions have gotten me, possibly a loose valve. I was wondering would it be hard to tighten up a loose valve or is it a very complicated process that i would really need to look into before doing? Any input would be great thanks in advance.

It would help to know a little more about what motor you have, and what mods, valves dont become loose, they just go out of clearance, either they need to be reshimmed, or, the more likely problem, your Hydrolic lifters need to be bled, you can find the actual procedure for bleeding HLAs here

yea i don't have any mods, it just stock right now. Student budget kinda equals stock motor right now haha. Is the reshimming process or bleeding the hydrolic lifters a hard process?

it really depends on how mechanicly adept you are and what tools you have at your disposal, take a look at the head build link, it will give you a better idea of what has to happen

valve cover has to come off, cams have to come out, and the rockers have to come out to get at the lifters.

So i have to go in that much to get to the lifters? From the looks of that article i don't have the tools for doing that. So i might be better of going to a shop or something, but the trouble with that is there are really no shops where i live that are that familiar with the sr.

Any good mechanic should be able to do the job, HLAs arent that uncommon
