So you mean that you drive on your rims? How is it that you think you'll damage your wheels by driving hard? Are you offroading or jumping your car? wheels are suspended in mid air by the upper part of the tire. It's not like you're riding on them. Anyway, whatever...
sorry it isnt a huffy. you wouldnt understand that wider wheels and someting that wasnt steelies...... are rather good thing when you start actually putting power to the ground. What sense is there when you slide a car around and thrash them, warp them, and could spend money else where.

cousre you dont even have a car do you? all you can talk about it automatic rental cars.....
chemao wrote:So you put the motor in yourself? Or did your grandpa help you out? Anyway you're like the Lisa Kubo of the 240 world. Props!
sweetheart I started doing motor swaps at 10. we have a 72 GMC sprint running 9.99 in a 100 shot and 10.46 all motor. 13:1 compression on a built 350. I could get into more but explain it all is far out of reach for you.

We have a 68 VW bug vert with a Porsche 944 turbo motor as well.

the S13 is my new toy.....

Well, stock Malibu is like 250HP and Stock SR20 makes 205 so...... Yah, I think a Malibu can smoke a SR-powered car stock for stock. Although I don't know if he was running stock boost or what. The car sure looked nice though -- no body kit, spoiler or etc. Just a clean S14 with some nice rim tuck and a big IC in the front. Yah, Lake Mary was nice! Except for the heavy day time traffic, It was a nice place to stay. I was at the Hilton Embassy Suites on Shorecrest Drive. Do you know where that is? Up the road is a little Chinese restaurant that was SO good I ate there 3 times during my stay. I also went to some pool hall while I was there, but I forget the name of it. I just remember it was a little difficult to find.
this is about the most idiotic thing you have said to date. HP means everything right?

what part you= fail wasnt correct? p/w, traction, driver skills, and most of all the other person knowing you are racing is kind of important. No automatic malible would even have to down shift from a roll before it would attempt to pull on anything. from a dig the traction issue is going to be a ***** as all season tires on a rental is fantastic right.

btw if you are such big ballin....... why are you in the 240 land? why do you have a malibue rental? you couldnt even get a full size or v6 mustang?

sorry dude down here you can nearly rent every car in production as we have so many customers(tourist land)...... you didnt even get a lincoln. pathetic.

Schooled in what way? I suppose the fact that you know more about an obscure motor from 20 years ago makes you smart? Geez, anyone could get that info just from a 5 minute visit to Wikipedia.yet you couldnt pull that off

Let's get this straight... you said above that most people here didn't even know you were a girl until you told them. I don't know but to me... that rings DYKE. *laflafsnortlaf*sorry didnt know anyone here was looking for a date.... think you joined the wrong site buddy

Well, my girlfriend and I do, in fact, have very expensive taste. But she hits the gym almost every day and that's only 50 bucks a month! Wow, that's exactly how much your fart-knocker partner nude or whatever his name is... saved in gas last month. Cool! very enspiring from someone who is so "intelligent".....

Rosie, I was swapping motors since before you knew how to drive.yet you still have no clue about anything motor related discussed thus far.... fail

Last night I was at the driving range discussing opening a new restaurant with a few buddies. Then I packed for my business trip today. THEN, I was shopping online for diamonds. I've decided on 2carat, round brilliant, ideal cut, IF, and E-F colorless. What do you think? Too big?if he likes what it looks like.... I think thats is what matters.
just remember even though he has punished your butt repeatedly, you should still wear the white and always wear protection.

Come to think of it, I might've raced our highly "successful at life" member before. While on my way to work, an Impala SS(looks like a rental car) began doing the whole speed up, slow down thing next to me. I got annoyed and didn't even downshift as I made my attempt to pass this annoying guy. He kept up with me all of a second until I hit full boost and I easily passed him. Also it was a good thing I only have 270 whp. Because according to our "SR expert", if I were to have another 10 hp on my daily driver, my engine's bound to be doomed.

Wow, what a coincidence. I did race someone in WA in an Impala SS recently. What city did you race this Impala SS in, and I will tell you if it was me or not. Either way, with 270WHP you should be able to dust an Impala SS. You running high 12's right? Pretty quick car - good job!

Also, if you really think your motor is good for more power, why did you stop at 270? You stopped there because you thought making more power on your current setup might break things. Who do you think you're fooling, smart aleck?

UNVMY240 wrote:Got a question Chemao.. How do I get into owning restruants and natural gas rigs and all that stuff by the time I am 29? Cause I would LOVE to get in on that!!! I know you had to put some money out of pocket for that stuff.
I have been working and saving money since I was 14 years old, that's how! I worked in several restaurants for a few years. My first restaurant was a very small Chinese buffet restaurant in the Fort Worth hospital district. We worked our butts off and didn't make jack. Later, I went in with two friends to open a hamburger restaurant in west Fort Worth. We ran it for almost 2 years until Fuddruckers opened up the street from us. We couldn't compete with the massive restaurant so we sold the store. A natural gas well requires no money to fund - in fact they paid me $10,000 cash to give them the lease. I could have gotten more, but I negotiated the royalties at 17% instead. The only initial cost is the land, which you needed 20 acres at that time. Now you need a minimum of 40 acres for each well. You will also need the mineral rights on the land, which is hard to find these days. You might have some luck finding a pooled well, which means you own part of the land and not the entire plot. That also means [unfortunately] that you don't get the entire royalty. My well generages about 3-4 million cubic feet of natural gas per day, which translates to about 100 bucks per million cubic feet. If you're ever in the Dallas/Ft Worth area, I'll take you to my well and show you around how it's set up and stuff. Once all the work is done you just have a pipeline leading to a fenced off set of pipes. A couple of times per day, a water truck comes to drain the water off... but that's about it. They will build a water storage tank by the well too (read: tank=pond)
UNVMY240 wrote:Its like my brother-n-law that says he makes $40k from selling a flipped house that he went in with his buddy but he didnt put nothing into it. (money, time, credit/500 score) NO one gives you anything, nothing is free.
Well, it's possible that he used his friend's name to purchase the house and he put in equity or work flipping it. Although you're right that it's hard to believe, but it's certainly NOT impossible. Incidentally, I have a buddy that does credit repair on the side (and he's very good at it). He charges very reasonable prices. If your bro-in-law is interested, email me his name and number and I'll put them together.
UNVMY240 wrote:So was this stuff passed on by family or are you just one of those lucky bastards that it was jsut handed to you from some guy off the street?
NO CHANCE IN HELL. I got nothing from my family. Everything I have, I earned myself. Actually, I grew up without much of a family, and am a completely self-made man.

And ya I plan on doing engine last. The way I figure it I want my car to feel the way I want it to then I give it the power I want now that its set up to handle it. Thats why I didnt do a swap into my civic yet.

I know swap wise that I dont want to stick with the KA. the fact that its a single cam and it puts out about 140 ( i think that was the number) reminds me too much of my civics D16Y8. From what I understand the SR20 is the most realistic swap for a s13 right?
People will try to over charge you for 240s because you can drift it, its a car people want so they will throw "drift tax" on it.

Same goes for EK9s just cuz its a hatch, and everyone wants the hatch peope will over charge for them, I saw a ek9 that was a shell for 2k, and was beat up.

Numbers don't mean **** when their dyno curve looks like mount everest. The area under the curve is the most important. So they'll make 500hp for a whole 150rpm...I'm happy with making 350hp for 2000rpm.

Very true. Also take into consideration that it's a front wheel drive. 500 hp would be insane in a street 240. Imagine 500 hp in a Civic with street tires. Highway runs might be fun, but from a dig you might as well have 80 hp in that Honda.

Not to mention the nasty torque steer. Even just driving a 13 second fwd vehicle torque steer starts to become an issue. My TL gets a little torque steer when it's on the bottle, but for some reason not as much as my buddy's srt-4 which runs about a half second slower in the 1/4 mile. I guess the weight and steering design is going to be a factor....oh and the Tl is a 5spd auto the the srt is a 5spd manual with a stiffer clutch than stock...that's another factor i guess

I asked him! We were at a stop light and then I asked if he wanted to run. I was going to video him with my cell phone. I got a video but it was so jerky you couldn't see anything. It would have been better if someone were in the car with me.
