My dad test drove one of these when it came out. I'm not sure if it had an armrest.

But if it did, I'm sure it's just as comfortable as any other standard trans. car.

any of those cars will work. If it were me, I would start out with something cheap, then move up.

Side note: I've noticed some newer cars in the last few years are adding these systems to make driving stick easier. For example, the Wrx has a system where it will lock the clutch in place when you are on a hill. Therefore you don't have to handle a hill the tradition way, which is to use the e-brake. Also you won't have to worry about rolling back if you don't use the e-brake. Actually I remember a friend telling me that this system is flawed and engages at undesired small inclines.

Why the hell can't car companys realize that people get manuals to get away from all the computer bs and have full control of the car. f*** all of this automatic "manual" shifting. Give me a god damn shifter or give me a auto there should be no in between

I would try to learn off a friends car. Try to learn on something cheap, either a buddies car, or buy a cheap one. 15 years or older. Once you mastered that, buy a nice manual what ever you like.

Dont buy an old Jetta (that generation or newer) unless you want to spend the rest of your young life chasing electrical nonsense.

Its generally easier to do a clutch on a RWD car, and RWD is usually more fun to drive anyway.

GET A MIATA.
