Is this quieting down being mandated? If so, you must have some serious sticklers working tech. The Rolla is pretty loud when I take the silencer out, but I've never had any complaints. Either way, it's not as loud as the F125's, I have to wear earplugs when I work the course for them.
You going to get footage from your winter series?
i didn't manage to snag any footage of mine saturday... but the video on the homepage here should be up for the rest of the week... you can see my truck in the first interview with the guy in the CP mustang because i was in grid right next to him.

and yes... the sound is mandated... you might want to check your numbers this year if you can in some way... because there will be a few national sites checking them this year... san diego limit is 93 (like a few of our local sites) and a few other places will have a 100 decibel limit this year.
locally... 2 of the 3 sites we run have a limit of 93 decibels measured from 50' away perpendicular to the vehicle on a spot on the track where the cars are expected to be on the throttle and at high RPM. EVERY run is measured. If you go over 90 you get a warning. Over 93 and you DNF. DNF in 3 consecutive events and the car is gone for a full calendar year. The third site has a limit of 103 decibels. I only have to worry about the first 2 sites as my truck has never run higher than 95 decibels before.
