What an ignorant response. First, as I said they are both inexperienced. Second, Those senator take votes on and are informed daily about pretty large issues. Far larger than any politician from alaska. That is what is so weak about peoples arguments, your disdain for a candidate is obviously the biggest factor in your arguments. Otherwise you would know better than to make rediculous statements about a four year senator having done nothing. That cannot be said of any one there. Regardless of there level of involvement or competence every senator does a difficult job pretty well or they wouldn't last. Sometimes we treat politicians like star athletes, critizing their every move while forgetting that they do things more us cannot come close to.

Every since I found out he had to have one of his marriages annulled as he had married his cousin I've not been able to look at him. His excuse, He thought she was a 3rd. cousin and that that was okay.

The GOP seems to be making the most out of this hampered convention, so far. We'll see if McCain can keep it up or will be anticlimactic.

You wrote a whole bunch but didn't answer the question. What has he done?

Read those issues voted on. Every senator affects affects a huge part of our day to day life. That is doing alot. More DONE than any of us on this board will likely accomplish in a lifetime. Have a little more respect for people in public office. All of them could be out earning more and doing whatever they want without a public to worry about. We should be able to agree that all of these men try to act in the best interest of this country. They disagree on the methods to accomplish things but politics should be a debate on ideas not the mindless hurling of irrelevant insults that all politicians and most people on this board resort to. And the reason is the same for both groups, because the general pop is too ignorant and disinterested for an educated debate to exist.

In the link you posted first, it took me to the 109th Congress ... and that ended in late 2006. But, did you look at the results for the 110th Congress?

In the 110th Congress, far more often than not (particularly in 2008), he has not voted at all. That is probably because he has been away campaigning rather than dealing with his Senate position responsibilities. Okay, I can see that happening.

However, more importantly, my other problem is that he has not STARTED a single bill as far as I can tell, but has found the time to wrote two memoirs in that same period? Where is the focus on the job? Even before he started active on-the-road campaigning, he was doing other stuff instead.
