Went camping in my old S13... and ended up having to cross a 18" deep river in it, that was fun... hurray running start...

(PS, make sure your friends with pickups tell you about these things instead of just taking their word about 'not too hard to get to camp')

Sorry OP you lose even more. Do you need any more pics? Just look at the awd POS cars understeering everywhere. If you look real close you will see a 240 off in the distance owning these junk boxes, you will just have to look real close because there almost rusted to nothing from playing in the snow to long. The OP is still probably looking at this thread without logging in.

With my 205 60 15 Goodyear Ultra Grips, I could spin 5th easily.

With my 185 65 15 Nokian Hakka R's (Best ones in the market), I couldn't spin second, just barely, and sliding my a** around corners was impossible. With the Goodyears, the rear end would kick out sometimes under heavy decel. With the Nokians, I shifted from 4th to 2nd and dumped the clutch, the car DID not shift lock.

No extra weights in the trunk, stock spare and jack with tools, and a DC Sports Upper Strut Bar...which adds nothing.

Just shows how much good snow tires can do, kept up with an AWD WRX, it had stock wheels and stock size all seasons.
Honestly, I call bluff. I know snow tires make a huge difference, but no way you keptup with a wrx, sorry. I had Blizzaks on my E36 and I could break em free whenever I wanted, but also had excellent traction when I drove like an average person. Now my WRX on the other hand is a whole nother beast...

How is this even an argument at all? Is this the things people on forums are talking about now? This argument is like saying a fat kid with some red bull will hang with Usain Bolt in the 100 meter dash. Sorry it's not going to happen. Why is it so hard for people to accept that when all 4 wheels drive the car it's better for adverse conditions than when only 2 drive it? When you folks say "keep up" do you mean you can drive to the store when the roads are wet as good as a wrx, cause if so no crap.

Really guys no one here is saying that you cant successfully drive a 240 in the snow. I have driven multiple 240's in the snow all with 255's on 17x10's, coilovers, and the whole 9 yards. Was I just fine, yes. Of course everyone knows a 240 can be driven through snow and what not. Some people are trying to argue over a non existent premise. Now will you keep up with a wrx in the snow, hell no. It will never happen thats why you don't see 240's or other rwd cars competing side by side in WRC (yes I know people rally rwd cars before anyone ignorantly brings that up).

Seems like a lot of people drive their 240's in the snow they just have better things to do than make s*** threads bragging about it... I did a few times after shoveling for an hour to get it out than almost wrecking several times because going down hill with any amount of snow on the ground is a terrible idea in a rwd car of any kind. I reside in central PA so all we have are hills. I’m not sure what point I’m trying to make.. your post just enrages me. Please post on another 240 forum…please
