the tach sensor is actually in the back, connected to the muffler bearings. it counts the bearing revolutions and divides by 4 (4 cylinders) to get your RPM, as long as it doesnt go OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND
well if it does go over NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND that's after VTAK kicks in and then the sensor that's under the headlight fluid resevoir measures RPM then.
