some people do pretty good with the mouse, but I can't stand it. I use the kb.

Is anyone here still playing LFS? I'm still on pretty much every day, and don't see anyone I recognize.

I still play it pretty randomly. Not enough to even know many of the tracks, just basically have it there for when I get the urge.

I've been playing LFS since late 2002, when it was still in demo. I don't race on the public servers too much these days. I mostly race in leagues, specifically the League of the Americas - http://www.lfs-lota.net.

I have the Logitech G25 and built a custom cockpit for it since LFS is really the only game I play these days.

I am on the venizuelin S2 server that is running BL1 (its the server with the lowest ping that has LX and a track I know :P)

New PB in LX6 on BL1!1.25.something... (yes I am slow, I may have had faster, but I haven't played a ton since times were reset I don't think...)

Good times, and got my PB even lower in the 25s... I need to stop being lazy and tweak that setup because I was seriously running out of RPM's almost half way down the straight.

ZeroR, you drive LX cars? So hard to find good company for them :PWe will have to get all three of us on one of these days.

here you go! still a bit unfinished (unpainted), haven't had much time these days, but it's very usable. Feels much more like a sim than if I was just sitting at a desk.

Wow! Nice setup man. Do you drift at all, or just race?

On another note, I've been doing some hotlapping of Blackwood GP Rev, and posted a time of 1:31.09. Which puts me in 14th place for RB4.

LOL need more practice.

That's a nice setup, eventually I want to do something like that, but I need the wheel to begin with...

The AWD cars are the only ones I really feel like I'm getting close to the limit with because I'm able to at least drive them with the mouse.

If you guys try the FXR at Aston Historic let me know how you do.

I don't know that track at all, but maybe I'll give it a whirl... I have a feeling it will be embarrassingly slow...

Keep in mind that I'm on keys, and mainly go round corners sideways so timed laps aren't really my thing. You should be able to beat mine easy.

Keep in mind that the only track I don't get completely lost on is blackwood (ehh and chicane route)

Think I am gonna go for a few laps now.

My first laps are over 3 minuts Make a server I'll join. I am on a multiplayer server now, but my ping is like 200. Post up the name of the server you start and I;ll join in a bit...

2:26 is my best, and mind you mzeo I am still using the mouse, the only car that I truly believe you can push the limits without the wheel is the FXR.

Dude, you missed the action! We did some Aston, then SO chicane route

My 2:35.x is with a pretty generic set. I think I can shave off a bit more with some gear ratio changes. BTW those fast cars are twitchy as hell on keys

I hate that last sharp one on chicane so so much...That back section is so narrow for drifting I was hitting walls like crazy. That drift set I was using for the RB was pretty easy, but felt kinda ridiculous.

(you really need to get a wheel so you can come drive LX6 with me mzeo )
