Little brown box

Little brown box
On both the KA wiring Harness and The SR harnesse there is a little brown box, they are identicle except for the plugs. when I recieved my SR harness the box had about 6 inches of wire on it and it wasnt connected to anything, what should I do with it. I cant find anywhere on the SR harness where this should have been and I already followed the wires on my KA harness and they lead to the ECU plug I believe. I need to know what the box is and how important is it and what should I do with it.

Please be more specific about this little brown box, is it the connector from engine harness to the exterior light harness and what not? By the fusebox?

on the KA it was attached to the engine harness only, and it was stashed behind the cruis control underneith the wiper motor, wiper amp sounds possible. I sent my harness into wiring specialtys and they should take care of it for me.
